1 Chronicles 29

1 Then King David said to the whole assembly, “My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and inexperienced. The task is great because this palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.

1 सारी सभा को राजा दावीद ने कहा: “मेरा पुत्र शलोमोन, जो सिर्फ परमेश्वर द्वारा ही चुना गया है, इस समय कम उम्र और कम अनुभव का है, जबकि यह एक बड़ा काम है, क्योंकि यह मंदिर किसी इंसान का नहीं, याहवेह परमेश्वर के आदर में बनाया जा रहा है.

2 Now with all my ability I have made provision for the house of my God—gold for the gold articles, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron, and wood for the wood, as well as onyx for the settings, turquoise, stones of various colors, all kinds of precious stones, and slabs of marble—all in abundance.

2 मैं अपनी शक्ति भर कोशिश कर मेरे परमेश्वर याहवेह के भवन के लिए सोने की वस्तुओं के लिए सोना, चांदी की वस्तुओं के लिए चांदी, कांसे की वस्तुओं के लिए कांसा, लोहे की वस्तुओं के लिए लोहा और लकड़ी की वस्तुओं के लिए लकड़ी इकट्ठा कर लिया है. मैंने इनके अलावा शेषमणि पत्थर, जड़े जाने के लिए पत्थर, सुरमा के पत्थर और तरह-तरह के रंगों के पत्थर और सभी प्रकार के कीमती पत्थर और सिलखड़ी के पत्थर भी बड़ी मात्रा में इकट्ठा कर लिए हैं.

3 Moreover, because of my delight in the house of my God, I now give for it my personal treasures of gold and silver, over and above all that I have provided for this holy temple:

3 इन सबके अलावा मेरे परमेश्वर के भवन में मेरा मन लगा रहने के कारण अपने खुद के खजाने में से सोने और चांदी मैं मेरे परमेश्वर के भवन के लिए दे रहा हूं. उन सब वस्तुओं के अलावा, जो मैंने पहले ही पवित्र मंदिर के लिए इकट्ठा कर रखी हैं,

4 three thousand talents of gold (the gold of Ophir) and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings,

4 यानी ओफीर के सोने में से एक लाख किलो सोना और ढाई लाख किलो ताई हुई चांदी, जिसे भवन की दीवारों पर मढ़ा जाना था,

5 for the gold work and the silver work, and for all the work to be done by the craftsmen. Now who is willing to consecrate himself to the LORD today?”

5 यह सब सोने से बनने वाली वस्तुओं और चांदी से बनने वाली वस्तुओं के लिए था, जिसका इस्तेमाल तरह-तरह के कारीगर करने को थे. आप लोगों में से कौन-कौन आज याहवेह के लिए अपने आपको समर्पित करने के लिए तैयार है?”

6 Then the leaders of the families, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king’s work gave willingly.

6 यह सुनकर इसके उत्तर में सभी गोत्रों के प्रधानों ने, इस्राएल के कुलों के शासकों ने, हज़ारों और सैकड़ों के अधिकारियों ने और राजा का काम करनेवाले अगुओं ने अपनी इच्छा से दान दिया.

7 Toward the service of God’s house they gave 5,000 talents and 10,000 darics of gold, 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron.

7 परमेश्वर के भवन से संबंधित कामों के लिए इन सबने पांच हजार तालन्त सोना और दस हज़ार सोने के सिक्‍के, साढ़े तीन लाख किलो चांदी, छः लाख किलो कांसा और पैंतीस लाख किलो लोहा दान में दे दिया.

8 Whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the LORD, under the care of Jehiel the Gershonite.

8 जिस किसी के पास कीमती पत्थर थे, उन्होंने उन्हें याहवेह के भवन के भंडार में दे दिया, जो गेरशोन येहिएल की निगरानी में रखे गए थे.

9 And the people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given to the LORD freely and wholeheartedly. And King David also rejoiced greatly.

9 अपनी इच्छा से यह सब दे देने पर जनता में खुशी की लहर दौड़ गई, क्योंकि उन्होंने यह भेंट याहवेह को खरे मन से भेंट चढ़ाई थी. राजा दावीद के सामने भी यह बड़े आनंद का विषय था.

10 Then David blessed the LORD in the sight of all the assembly and said: “May You be blessed, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.

10 यह सब होने के बाद दावीद ने पूरी सभा के सामने याहवेह की स्तुति की. दावीद ने कहा, “याहवेह, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर, आप आदि से अंत तक स्तुति के योग्य हैं.

11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor and the majesty, for everything in heaven and on earth belongs to You. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all.

11 याहवेह, महिमा, सामर्थ, प्रताप, विजय और वैभव, यानी सभी कुछ, जो स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी में है, आपका ही है. याहवेह, प्रभुता आपकी ही है; आपने अपने आपको सबके ऊपर मुख्य और महान किया हुआ है.

12 Both riches and honor come from You, and You are the ruler over all. In Your hands are power and might to exalt and give strength to all.

12 धन और सम्मान आपसे ही मिलते हैं; आपकी प्रभुता सब जगह है. अधिकार और सामर्थ्य आपके हाथ में हैं. अपने ही अधिकार में आप मनुष्यों को ऊंचा करते और उन्हें बलवान बना देते हैं.

13 Now therefore, our God, we give You thanks, and we praise Your glorious name.

13 इसलिये, हमारे परमेश्वर, हम आपके आभारी हैं, और हम आपकी महिमा के वैभव को सराहते हैं.

14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? For everything comes from You, and from Your own hand we have given to You.

14 “कौन हूं मैं और क्या है मेरी प्रजा कि हम ऐसे अपनी इच्छा से भेंट चढ़ा सकें? क्योंकि सभी कुछ आपसे ही मिलता है. हमने जो कुछ दिया है, वह हमको आपने आपके ही हाथों से दिया हुआ है.

15 For we are foreigners and strangers in Your presence, as were all our forefathers. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.

15 हम तो आपके सामने अपने पुरखों के समान सिर्फ यात्री और परदेशी ही हैं. पृथ्वी पर हमारे दिन छाया के समान होते हैं, निराशा से भरे.

16 O LORD our God, from Your hand comes all this abundance that we have provided to build You a house for Your holy Name, and all of it belongs to You.

16 याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर, आपके आदर में भवन बनाने के लिए हमने जो कुछ अपनी इच्छा से दिया है, आपका ही दिया हुआ है, इसलिये यह आपका ही है.

17 I know, my God, that You test the heart and delight in uprightness. All these things I have given willingly and with an upright heart, and now I have seen Your people who are present here giving joyfully and willingly to You.

17 मेरे परमेश्वर, इसलिये कि मुझे यह मालूम है कि आप हृदय को परखते और सीधाई में आपकी खुशी है, मैंने अपने हृदय की सच्चाई में, अपनी इच्छा से यह सब दे दिया है. यहां मैंने यह भी बड़े आनंद से आपकी प्रजा में देखा है, जो यहां आए हैं, वे आपको अपनी इच्छा से दे रहे हैं.

18 O LORD, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, keep this desire forever in the intentions of the hearts of Your people, and direct their hearts toward You.

18 याहवेह, हमारे पुरखे अब्राहाम, यित्सहाक और इस्राएल के परमेश्वर, अपनी प्रजा के हृदय की इच्छा में यह हमेशा बनाए रखिए और उनके हृदय अपनी ही ओर लगाए रखिए.

19 And give my son Solomon a whole heart to keep and carry out all Your commandments, decrees, and statutes, and to build Your palace for which I have made provision.”

19 मेरे पुत्र शलोमोन को एक ऐसा खरा मन दें, कि वह आपके आदेशों, नियमों और विधियों का पालन करता रहे और वह इस मंदिर को बनाने का काम पूरा करे, जिसके लिए मैंने यह इंतजाम किया है.”

20 Then David said to the whole assembly, “Bless the LORD your God.” So the whole assembly blessed the LORD, the God of their fathers. They bowed down and paid homage to the LORD and to the king.

20 इसके बाद दावीद पूरी सभा की ओर फिरे और उन्हें इन शब्दों में कहा, “याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर की स्तुति करो.” पूरी सभा ने याहवेह की, अपने पुरखों के परमेश्वर की स्तुति की. उन्होंने झुककर याहवेह और राजा को दंडवत किया.

21 The next day they offered sacrifices and presented burnt offerings to the LORD: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, along with their drink offerings, and other sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.

21 दूसरे दिन उन्होंने याहवेह के लिए बलि चढ़ाई और याहवेह के लिए होमबलि भेंट की एक हज़ार बछड़े, एक हज़ार मेंढ़े और एक हज़ार मेमने और इनके अलावा उन्होंने पूरे इस्राएल के लिए भरपूरी से पेय बलि और बलियां चढ़ाईं.

22 That day they ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the LORD. Then, for a second time, they designated David’s son Solomon as king, anointing him before the LORD as ruler, and Zadok as the priest.

22 उस दिन उन्होंने बड़ी ही खुशी में याहवेह के सामने खाया और पिया. उन्होंने एक बार फिर दावीद के पुत्र शलोमोन का राजाभिषेक किया. उन्होंने याहवेह के सामने शलोमोन को शासन और सादोक को पुरोहित के काम के लिए अभिषेक किया.

23 So Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king in place of his father David. He prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.

23 याहवेह द्वारा ठहराए गए सिंहासन पर राजा होकर शलोमोन अपने पिता दावीद की जगह पर बैठे. वह समृद्ध होते चले गए और सारा इस्राएल उनके आदेशों को मानता था.

24 All the officials and mighty men, as well as all of King David’s sons, pledged their allegiance to King Solomon.

24 सभी अगुओं ने, वीर योद्धाओं ने और राजा दावीद के पुत्रों ने राजा शलोमोन से उनकी अधीनता की शपथ खाई.

25 The LORD highly exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him royal majesty such as had not been bestowed on any king in Israel before him.

25 याहवेह ने शलोमोन को सारे इस्राएल की दृष्टि में बहुत ही प्रतिष्ठित बना दिया और उन्हें इस तरह का राजकीय ऐश्वर्य दिया जैसा इसके पहले इस्राएल में और किसी राजा को न मिली थी.

26 David son of Jesse was king over all Israel.

26 यिशै के पुत्र दावीद ने सारे इस्राएल पर शासन किया.

27 The length of David’s reign over Israel was forty years—seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

27 इस्राएल पर उनका शासनकाल चालीस वर्ष का था—सात साल हेब्रोन में और तैंतीस साल येरूशलेम में.

28 He died at a ripe old age, full of years, riches, and honor, and his son Solomon reigned in his place.

28 बहुत बूढ़ा होने की अवस्था तक पहुंचकर, जीवन के लिए ठहराए गए दिन पूरे कर समृद्धि और वैभव की स्थिति में दावीद की मृत्यु हुई. उनकी जगह पर उनका पुत्र शलोमोन राजा हुआ.

29 Now the acts of King David, from first to last, are indeed written in the Chronicles of Samuel the Seer, the Chronicles of Nathan the Prophet, and the Chronicles of Gad the Seer,

29 शुरू से लेकर अंत तक राजा दावीद द्वारा किए गए कामों का वर्णन दर्शी शमुएल, भविष्यद्वक्ता नाथान और दर्शी गाद द्वारा लिखी गई इतिहास की पुस्तक में किया गया है.

30 together with all the details of his reign, his might, and the circumstances that came upon him and Israel and all the kingdoms of the lands.

30 इन पुस्तकों में उनके शासन, उनकी शक्ति, उन पर और इस्राएल पर पड़ी परिस्थितियों और दुनिया के दूसरे देशों पर आई परिस्थितियों का वर्णन है.
