2 Chronicles 19

1 When Jehoshaphat king of Judah had returned safely to his home in Jerusalem,

1 犹大王约沙法平安地回到耶路撒冷的宫中。

2 Jehu son of Hanani the seer went out to confront him and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is upon you.

2 哈拿尼先见的儿子耶户出来迎接约沙法王，对他说：“你怎能帮助恶人，爱那憎恨耶和华的人呢？你这样做已经惹怒耶和华了。

3 However, some good is found in you, for you have removed the Asherah poles from the land and have set your heart on seeking God.”

3 然而你还有善行，因为你铲除境内的亚舍拉神像，立志寻求上帝。”

4 Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem, and once again he went out among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim and turned them back to the LORD, the God of their fathers.

4 约沙法住在耶路撒冷，后来他出巡民间，从别示巴一直走到以法莲山区，引导民众归向他们祖先的上帝耶和华。

5 He appointed judges in the land, in each of the fortified cities of Judah.

5 他又在犹大各坚城委任审判官，

6 Then he said to the judges, “Consider carefully what you do, for you are not judging for man, but for the LORD, who is with you when you render judgment.

6 对他们说：“你们办事必须谨慎，因为你们不是为人而是为耶和华断案，你们断案的时候，耶和华必与你们同在。

7 And now, may the fear of the LORD be upon you. Be careful what you do, for with the LORD our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.”

7 现在你们应当敬畏耶和华，谨慎办事，因为我们的上帝耶和华毫无不义，不偏待人，不受贿赂。”

8 Moreover, Jehoshaphat appointed in Jerusalem some of the Levites, priests, and heads of the Israelite families to judge on behalf of the LORD and to settle disputes. And they lived in Jerusalem.

8 约沙法还在耶路撒冷委任一些利未人、祭司和以色列的族长为耶和华断案，审理诉讼。他们就住在耶路撒冷。

9 He commanded them, saying, “You must serve faithfully and wholeheartedly in the fear of the LORD.

9 约沙法训导他们说：“你们要怀着敬畏耶和华的心，全心全意办事。

10 For every dispute that comes before you from your brothers who dwell in their cities—whether it regards bloodshed or some other violation of law, commandments, statutes, or ordinances—you are to warn them, so that they will not incur guilt before the LORD and wrath will not come upon you and your brothers. Do this, and you will not incur guilt.

10 各城中的同胞若把案件带到你们面前，无论是杀人流血，还是有关律法、诫命、律例和典章的案件，你们都要警告他们不要得罪耶和华，免得耶和华的烈怒临到你们和你们的同胞。你们这样行，就没有罪了。

11 Note that Amariah, the chief priest, will be over you in all that pertains to the LORD, and Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, in all that pertains to the king. And the Levites will serve as officers before you. Act resolutely; may the LORD be with the upright!”

11 凡有关耶和华的事，由亚玛利雅大祭司监督你们；凡有关君王的事，由犹大支派的族长以实玛利的儿子西巴第雅监督你们。利未人做官长协助你们。你们要行事勇敢，愿耶和华与良善的人同在！”
