2 Kings 1

1 After the death of Ahab, Moab rebelled against Israel.

1 亚哈死后，摩押背叛以色列。

2 Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers and instructed them: “Go inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I will recover from this injury.”

2 一天，亚哈谢从撒玛利亚王宫的楼台上掉下来，受了伤，就派使者去求问以革伦的神明巴力·西卜，看自己能否痊愈。

3 But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are on your way to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?’

3 耶和华的天使对提斯比人以利亚说：“你去截住撒玛利亚王的使者，对他们说，‘你们去求问以革伦的神明巴力·西卜，是因为以色列没有上帝吗？’

4 Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘You will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.’” So Elijah departed.

4 因此耶和华对王说，‘你再也不能下床了，你必定死。’”以利亚就去了。

5 When the messengers returned to the king, he asked them, “Why have you returned?”

5 王的使者回去见王。王问他们：“你们为什么回来了？”

6 They replied, “A man came up to meet us and said, ‘Go back to the king who sent you and tell him that this is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending these men to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.’”

6 他们答道：“有一个人在路上截住我们，要我们回来告诉你，耶和华对你说，‘你差人去求问以革伦的神明巴力·西卜，是因为以色列没有上帝吗？因此，你再也不能下床了，你必定死。’”

7 The king asked them, “What sort of man came up to meet you and spoke these words to you?”

7 王又问他们：“在路上截住你们、对你们说这些话的，是什么样的人？”

8 “He was a hairy man,” they answered, “with a leather belt around his waist.” “It was Elijah the Tishbite,” said the king.

8 他们答道：“那人身穿毛皮衣服，腰束皮带。”王说：“他是提斯比人以利亚。”

9 Then King Ahaziah sent to Elijah a captain with his company of fifty men. So the captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on top of a hill, and said to him, “Man of God, the king declares, ‘Come down!’”

9 于是，王派一个五十夫长率领五十人去见以利亚。那时，以利亚正坐在山顶上。五十夫长到了那里，对他说：“上帝的仆人啊，王命令你下来。”

10 Elijah answered the captain, “If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.” And fire came down from heaven and consumed the captain and his fifty men.

10 以利亚说：“我若是上帝的仆人，愿火从天降下烧死你和你的五十个部下。”火立刻从天降下，烧死了五十夫长和他的五十个部下。

11 So the king sent to Elijah another captain with his fifty men. And the captain said to Elijah, “Man of God, the king declares, ‘Come down at once!’”

11 亚哈谢王又派一个五十夫长率领五十人去以利亚那里，五十夫长对以利亚说：“上帝的仆人啊，王命令你马上下来。”

12 Again Elijah replied, “If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.” And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed the captain and his fifty men.

12 以利亚说：“我若是上帝的仆人，愿火从天降下，烧死你和你的五十个部下。”上帝的火从天降下，烧死了五十夫长和他的五十个部下。

13 So the king sent a third captain with his fifty men. And the third captain went up, fell on his knees before Elijah, and begged him, “Man of God, may my life and the lives of these fifty servants of yours please be precious in your sight.

13 王再次派一个五十夫长率领五十人前去。五十夫长上去，双膝跪在以利亚面前，哀求道：“上帝的仆人啊，求你饶了我和你的五十名仆人的性命。

14 Behold, fire has come down from heaven and consumed the first two captains of fifty, with all their men. But now may my life be precious in your sight.”

14 前两个五十夫长和他们的部下都被天上降下的火烧死了，现在求你饶我一命！”

15 Then the angel of the LORD said to Elijah, “Go down with him. Do not be afraid of him.” So Elijah got up and went down with him to the king.

15 耶和华的天使对以利亚说：“不要害怕，跟他去吧！”以利亚就起来跟他去见王。

16 And Elijah said to King Ahaziah, “This is what the LORD says: Is there really no God in Israel for you to inquire of His word? Is that why you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.”

16 以利亚对王说：“耶和华说，‘你派使者去求问以革伦的神明巴力·西卜，是因为以色列没有上帝可以求问吗？因此，你再也不能下床了，你必定死。’”

17 So Ahaziah died according to the word of the LORD that Elijah had spoken. And since he had no son, Jehoram succeeded him in the second year of the reign of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat over Judah.

17 亚哈谢果然死了，正如耶和华借以利亚所说的。他没有儿子，他兄弟约兰继位，那年是犹大王约沙法的儿子约兰执政第二年。

18 As for the rest of the acts of Ahaziah, along with his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
