Ezekiel 42

1 Then the man led me out northward into the outer court, and he brought me to the group of chambers opposite the temple courtyard and the outer wall on the north side.

1 Depois de tudo isso, o homem me levou para o pátio externo, em direção ao norte. Fomos às salas que ficavam no lado norte do pátio, de frente para o edifício separado.

2 The building with the door facing north was a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide.

2 Ao todo, aquela fileira de salas media cinquenta metros de comprimento e vinte e cinco metros de largura.

3 Gallery faced gallery in three levels opposite the twenty cubits that belonged to the inner court and opposite the pavement that belonged to the outer court.

3 As fileiras de salas ficavam lado a lado com a parede do pátio interno. Havia três andares, dando as salas para o pátio externo de um lado, e deixando um espaço livre de dez metros até o pátio interno.

4 In front of the chambers was an inner walkway ten cubits wide and a hundred cubits long. Their doors were on the north.

4 Em frente às salas, havia uma calçada de cinco metros de largura, ao longo de toda a extensão das salas, cinquenta metros. As entradas das salas ficavam voltadas para o norte.

5 Now the upper chambers were smaller because the galleries took more space from the chambers on the lower and middle floors of the building.

5 As salas dos andares superiores eram mais estreitas que as salas do andar térreo, porque os corredores eram mais largos; assim, as salas do segundo andar eram mais estreitas que as do primeiro andar, e estas, mais estreitas que as do térreo.

6 For they were arranged in three stories, and unlike the courts, they had no pillars. So the upper chambers were set back further than the lower and middle floors.

6 Ao contrário das salas que ficavam junto ao templo, estas não eram sustentadas com traves e vigas. Por isso, os andares superiores eram mais estreitos que o térreo.

7 An outer wall in front of the chambers was fifty cubits long and ran parallel to the chambers and the outer court.

7 No lado norte, junto ao pátio externo, havia um muro de vinte e cinco metros de comprimento que tapava o primeiro andar das salas.

8 For the chambers on the outer court were fifty cubits long, while those facing the temple were a hundred cubits long.

8 Ali, em lugar de terem cinquenta metros de extensão como nos outros lados, elas tinham apenas metade, ou seja, vinte e cinco metros.

9 And below these chambers was the entrance on the east side as one enters them from the outer court.

9 E havia uma entrada para as salas do primeiro andar, no lado leste, para quem vinha do pátio externo.

10 On the south side along the length of the wall of the outer court were chambers adjoining the courtyard and opposite the building,

10 Do outro lado do templo, no lado sul do pátio interno, havia um edifício igual, com dois andares, situado entre o santuário externo e o pátio externo.

11 with a passageway in front of them, just like the chambers that were on the north. They had the same length and width, with similar exits and dimensions.

11 Havia uma calçada entre as duas partes do edifício, exatamente como no edifício oposto, com as mesmas medidas, com saídas e portas iguais.

12 And corresponding to the doors of the chambers that were facing south, there was a door in front of the walkway that was parallel to the wall extending eastward.

12 Nesse edifício havia uma porta para o pátio externo, voltada para o lado leste.

13 Then the man said to me, “The north and south chambers facing the temple courtyard are the holy chambers where the priests who approach the LORD will eat the most holy offerings. There they will place the most holy offerings—the grain offerings, the sin offerings, and the guilt offerings—for the place is holy.

13 Então, o homem me disse: “Essas salas ao norte e ao sul do templo, que dão para o pátio interno e ficam ao lado do edifício separado, são santas. Nelas, os sacerdotes que servem na presença do Senhor comerão suas refeições e guardarão as coisas mais santas, isto é, as ofertas de cereais, os sacrifícios pelo pecado e pela culpa. Este local é santo!

14 Once the priests have entered the holy area, they must not go out into the outer court until they have left behind the garments in which they minister, for these are holy. They are to put on other clothes before they approach the places that are for the people.”

14 Quando os sacerdotes saírem do Lugar Santo, não poderão ir diretamente para o pátio externo. Nessas salas eles trocarão suas roupas santas, as roupas usadas para oferecer os sacrifícios. Só depois de trocar de roupa, eles poderão vir para o lugar destinado ao povo”.

15 Now when the man had finished measuring the interior of the temple area, he led me out by the gate that faced east, and he measured the area all around:

15 Quando ele terminou de medir o templo e suas dependências, levou-me para fora, pela porta leste, e mediu toda a área ao redor do templo.

16 With a measuring rod he measured the east side to be five hundred cubits long.

16 Usando a régua, mediu o lado leste, encontrando duzentos e cinquenta metros.

17 He measured the north side to be five hundred cubits long.

17 Achou a mesma medida no lado norte, ou seja, duzentos e cinquenta metros, segundo a régua de medir.

18 He measured the south side to be five hundred cubits long.

18 Mediu o lado sul; tinha duzentos e cinquenta metros, segundo a régua de medir.

19 And he came around and measured the west side to be five hundred cubits long.

19 Depois ele mediu o lado oeste; também duzentos e cinquenta metros, segundo a régua de medir.

20 So he measured the area on all four sides. It had a wall all around, five hundred cubits long and five hundred cubits wide, to separate the holy from the common.

20 Em torno do templo, havia um muro quadrado, de duzentos e sessenta e sete metros. Esse muro separava as coisas santas das coisas comuns.
