Isaiah 56

1 This is what the LORD says: “Maintain justice and do what is right, for My salvation is coming soon, and My righteousness will be revealed.

1 Assim diz o Senhor: “Sejam justos e honestos para com todos, pois a minha salvação está se aproximando, e em breve eu mostrarei a minha justiça.

2 Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without profaning it and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

2 Abençoarei o homem que tomar uma decisão firme de não trabalhar nos sábados para não profaná-lo, e de vigiar sua mão para não fazer o mal”.

3 Let no foreigner who has joined himself to the LORD say, “The LORD will utterly exclude me from His people.” And let the eunuch not say, “I am but a dry tree.”

3 O estrangeiro que adora o Senhor não deve dizer: “É certo que o Senhor me expulsará do seu povo”. E um homem que perdeu a capacidade de ter filhos não deve pensar: “Não passo de uma árvore seca”.

4 For this is what the LORD says: “To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, who choose what pleases Me and hold fast to My covenant—

4 Pois o Senhor promete a esses homens que não podem ter filhos: “Se vocês guardarem os meus sábados, fizerem a minha vontade e se apegarem à minha aliança,

5 I will give them, in My house and within My walls, a memorial and a name better than that of sons and daughters. I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.

5 eu lhes darei na minha casa, dentro dos meus muros, uma honra muito maior do que ter muitos filhos e filhas. Eu darei a vocês um nome eterno, que nunca vai ser esquecido.

6 And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD to minister to Him, to love the name of the LORD, and to be His servants—all who keep the Sabbath without profaning it and who hold fast to My covenant—

6 Quanto a essas pessoas de outros povos que se unirem ao Senhor, para amarem o nome do Senhor e o servirem, guardando o sábado, deixando de profaná-lo e para se apegarem à minha aliança,

7 I will bring them to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on My altar, for My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations.”

7 eu mesmo as levarei ao meu santo monte e lhes darei grande alegria em minha casa de oração. Aceitarei suas ofertas queimadas e demais sacrifícios no meu altar, porque a minha casa será chamada casa de oração para todos os povos”.

8 Thus declares the Lord GOD, who gathers the dispersed of Israel: “I will gather to them still others besides those already gathered.”

8 Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor, que reuniu os israelitas exilados: “Ainda vou reunir outros àqueles que já foram reunidos”.

9 Come, all you beasts of the field; eat greedily, all you beasts of the forest.

9 Venham, animais do campo, animais da floresta! Venham comer!

10 Israel’s watchmen are blind, they are all oblivious; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they are dreamers lying around, loving to slumber.

10 Os líderes do meu povo — os vigias do Senhor, os pastores de Israel — não são capazes de ver os perigos! Parecem cachorros mudos, incapazes de latir para avisar do perigo! Eles gostam mesmo de dormir e sonhar, cheios de preguiça!

11 Like ravenous dogs, they are never satisfied. They are shepherds with no discernment; they all turn to their own way, each one seeking his own gain:

11 Além disso, são cachorros gulosos, nunca estão satisfeitos; são pastores sem entendimento que só cuidam de si; cada um procura vantagem própria.

12 “Come, let me get the wine, let us imbibe the strong drink, and tomorrow will be like today, only far better!”

12 Cada um grita: “Venham, vamos arranjar vinho e bebida fermentada e dar uma grande festa. Isso sim, isso é que é vida! E amanhã, amanhã será ainda melhor, com mais vinho e festas do que hoje!”
