Judges 13

1 Again the Israelites did evil in the sight of the LORD, so He delivered them into the hand of the Philistines for forty years.

1 以色列人又做耶和华视为恶的事，耶和华就把他们交在非利士人手中四十年。

2 Now there was a man from Zorah named Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, whose wife was barren and had no children.

2 琐拉城住了一个但支派的人，名叫玛挪亚。他妻子不能生育，没有孩子。

3 The angel of the LORD appeared to the woman and said to her, “It is true that you are barren and have no children; but you will conceive and give birth to a son.

3 耶和华的天使向那妇人显现，对她说：“你虽然不生育，但不久你必怀孕生一个儿子。

4 Now please be careful not to drink wine or strong drink, and not to eat anything unclean.

4 现在，你要留心，不可喝淡酒和烈酒，不可吃任何不洁之物。

5 For behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son. And no razor shall touch his head, because the boy will be a Nazirite to God from the womb, and he will begin the deliverance of Israel from the hand of the Philistines.”

5 你必怀孕生一个儿子，你不可为他剃头，因为他一出生就要归给上帝做拿细耳人 。他要从非利士人手中拯救以色列人。”

6 So the woman went and told her husband, “A man of God came to me. His appearance was like the angel of God, exceedingly awesome. I did not ask him where he came from, and he did not tell me his name.

6 妇人就去对丈夫说：“有一位上帝的仆人向我显现，他的容貌像上帝的天使，非常可畏。我没有问他从哪里来，他也没有把名字告诉我。

7 But he said to me, ‘Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son. Now, therefore, do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything unclean, because the boy will be a Nazirite to God from the womb until the day of his death.’”

7 他对我说，‘你必怀孕生一个儿子，现在不可喝淡酒和烈酒，不可吃任何不洁之物，因为孩子一出生就要献给耶和华，终生做拿细耳人。’”

8 Then Manoah prayed to the LORD, “Please, O Lord, let the man of God You sent us come to us again to teach us how to raise the boy who is to be born.”

8 玛挪亚向耶和华祈求说：“主啊，求你再派你的仆人到这里来，教我们怎样照顾要出生的孩子。”

9 And God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the angel of God returned to the woman as she was sitting in the field; but her husband Manoah was not with her.

9 上帝应允了他的祈求。他妻子正坐在田间的时候，上帝的天使再次向她显现。当时她丈夫玛挪亚不在场。

10 The woman ran quickly to tell her husband, “Behold, the man who came to me the other day has reappeared!”

10 她赶忙跑去告诉她丈夫说：“那天来的那人又向我显现了。”

11 So Manoah got up and followed his wife. When he came to the man, he asked, “Are you the man who spoke to my wife?” “I am,” he said.

11 玛挪亚起来跟随妻子来到那人面前，问他：“跟我妻子说话的就是你吗？”他答道：“是我。”

12 Then Manoah asked, “When your words come to pass, what will be the boy’s rule of life and mission?”

12 玛挪亚问道：“你的话应验以后，我们应该怎样抚养这孩子？他该做什么？”

13 So the angel of the LORD answered Manoah, “Your wife is to do everything I told her.

13 耶和华的天使说：“你的妻子必须谨记我的一切吩咐。

14 She must not eat anything that comes from the vine, nor drink any wine or strong drink, nor eat anything unclean. She must do everything I have commanded her.”

14 她不可吃葡萄树所结的果实，淡酒和烈酒都不可喝，不可吃任何不洁之物。她必须遵行我的一切吩咐。”

15 “Please stay here,” Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, “and we will prepare a young goat for you.”

15 玛挪亚说：“请你留下来，我们要预备一只山羊羔给你吃。”

16 And the angel of the LORD replied, “Even if I stay, I will not eat your food. But if you prepare a burnt offering, offer it to the LORD.” For Manoah did not know that it was the angel of the LORD.

16 当时，玛挪亚仍然不知道那人是耶和华的天使。天使说：“我就是留下来也不会吃你预备的食物。你如果预备燔祭，就把它献给耶和华吧！”

17 Then Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, “What is your name, so that we may honor you when your word comes to pass?”

17 玛挪亚说：“请告诉我你的名字，当一切应验的时候，我们好向你表达敬意。”

18 “Why do you ask my name,” said the angel of the LORD, “since it is beyond comprehension?”

18 耶和华的天使说：“何必问我的名字呢？我的名字奇妙难测。”

19 Then Manoah took a young goat and a grain offering and offered them on a rock to the LORD. And as Manoah and his wife looked on, the LORD did a marvelous thing.

19 于是，玛挪亚就把一只山羊羔和素祭放在磐石上，献给耶和华。就在这时候，天使在玛挪亚夫妇面前行了一件奇妙的事：

20 When the flame went up from the altar to the sky, the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame. When Manoah and his wife saw this, they fell facedown to the ground.

20 火焰从祭坛上升起的时候，耶和华的天使也在祭坛的火焰中升上去了。玛挪亚夫妇见状便俯伏在地。

21 And when the angel of the LORD did not appear again to Manoah and his wife, Manoah realized that it had been the angel of the LORD.

21 耶和华的天使后来没再向玛挪亚夫妇显现，玛挪亚才知道他是耶和华的天使。

22 “We are going to die,” he said to his wife, “for we have seen God!”

22 玛挪亚对妻子说：“我们必死无疑，因为我们看见了上帝。”

23 But his wife replied, “If the LORD had intended to kill us, He would not have accepted the burnt offering and the grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown us all these things or spoken to us this way.”

23 他妻子却说：“耶和华如果要杀我们，就不会接受我们的燔祭和素祭了，也不会让我们看见这些事，更不会这时候跟我们说这些话。”

24 So the woman gave birth to a son and named him Samson. The boy grew, and the LORD blessed him.

24 后来玛挪亚的妻子生了个儿子，她给孩子取名叫参孙。这孩子渐渐长大，耶和华赐福给他。

25 And the Spirit of the LORD began to stir him at Mahaneh-dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.

25 当他在琐拉和以实陶之间的玛哈尼·但的时候，耶和华的灵开始感动他。
