Mark 15

1 Early in the morning, the chief priests, elders, scribes, and the whole Sanhedrin devised a plan. They bound Jesus, led Him away, and handed Him over to Pilate.

1 भोर होते ही प्रधान पुरोहितों, नेतागण तथा शास्त्रियों ने सारी महासभा का सत्र बुलाकर विचार किया और मसीह येशु को, जो अभी भी बंधे हुए थे, ले जाकर पिलातॉस को सौंप दिया.

2 So Pilate questioned Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied.

2 पिलातॉस ने मसीह येशु से पूछा, “क्या यहूदियों के राजा तुम हो?” मसीह येशु ने इसके उत्तर में कहा, “आपने सच कहा है.”

3 And the chief priests began to accuse Him of many things.

3 प्रधान पुरोहित मसीह येशु पर अनेक आरोप लगाते रहे.

4 Then Pilate questioned Him again, “Have You no answer? Look how many charges they are bringing against You!”

4 इस पर पिलातॉस ने मसीह येशु से पूछा, “कोई उत्तर नहीं दोगे? देखो, ये लोग तुम पर आरोप पर आरोप लगाते चले जा रहे हैं!”

5 But to Pilate’s amazement, Jesus made no further reply.

5 किंतु मसीह येशु ने कोई उत्तर न दिया. यह पिलातॉस के लिए आश्चर्य का विषय था.

6 Now it was Pilate’s custom at the feast to release to the people a prisoner of their choosing.

6 उत्सव के अवसर पर वह किसी एक बंदी को, लोगों की विनती के अनुसार, छोड़ दिया करता था.

7 And a man named Barabbas was imprisoned with the rebels who had committed murder during the insurrection.

7 कारागार में बार-अब्बास नामक एक बंदी था. वह अन्य विद्रोहियों के साथ विद्रोह में हत्या के आरोप में बंदी बनाया गया था.

8 So the crowd went up and began asking Pilate to keep his custom.

8 भीड़ ने पिलातॉस के पास जाकर उनकी प्रथापूर्ति की विनती की.

9 “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” Pilate asked.

9 इस पर पिलातॉस ने उनसे पूछा, “अच्छा, तो तुम यह चाह रहे हो कि मैं तुम्हारे लिए यहूदियों के राजा को छोड़ दूं?”

10 For he knew it was out of envy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over.

10 अब तक पिलातॉस को यह मालूम हो चुका था कि प्रधान पुरोहितों ने मसीह येशु को जलनवश पकड़वाया था.

11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release Barabbas to them instead.

11 किंतु प्रधान पुरोहितों ने भीड़ को उकसाया कि वे मसीह येशु के स्थान पर बार-अब्बास को छोड़ देने की विनती करें.

12 So Pilate asked them again, “What then do you want me to do with the One you call the King of the Jews?”

12 इस पर पिलातॉस ने उनसे पूछा, “तो फिर मैं इसका क्या करूं, जिसे तुम यहूदियों का राजा कहते हो?”

13 And they shouted back, “Crucify Him!”

13 वे फिर चिल्लाए, “उसे क्रूस पर चढ़ाओ!”

14 “Why?” asked Pilate. “What evil has He done?” But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify Him!”

14 “क्यों,” पिलातॉस ने उनसे पूछा, “क्या अपराध किया है इसने?” इस पर वे उग्र हो बलपूर्वक चिल्लाते हुए बोले, “उसे क्रूस पर चढ़ाओ!”

15 And wishing to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed Him over to be crucified.

15 भीड़ को संतुष्ट करने के उद्देश्य से पिलातॉस ने उनके लिए बार-अब्बास को विमुक्त कर दिया तथा मसीह येशु को कोड़े लगवाकर क्रूस-मृत्युदंड के लिए उनके हाथों में सौंप दिया.

16 Then the soldiers led Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called the whole company together.

16 मसीह येशु को सैनिक प्राइतोरियम अर्थात् किले के भीतर, महल के आंगन में ले गए और वहां उन्होंने सारी रोमी सैनिक टुकड़ी इकट्ठा कर ली.

17 They dressed Him in a purple robe, twisted together a crown of thorns, and set it on His head.

17 उन्होंने मसीह येशु को वहां ले जाकर बैंगनी रंग का वस्त्र पहना दिया तथा कांटों को गूंधकर मुकुट का रूप देकर उसे उनके ऊपर रख दिया

18 And they began to salute Him: “Hail, King of the Jews!”

18 और उन्हें प्रणाम करके कहने लगे, “यहूदियों के राजा, आपकी जय!”

19 They kept striking His head with a staff and spitting on Him. And they knelt down and bowed before Him.

19 वे मसीह येशु के सिर पर सरकंडों से मारते जा रहे थे. इसके अतिरिक्त वे उन पर थूक रहे थे और उपहास में उनके सामने घुटने टेककर झुक रहे थे.

20 After they had mocked Him, they removed the purple robe and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him out to crucify Him.

20 जब वे उपहास कर चुके, उन्होंने वह बैंगनी वस्त्र उतार लिया और उनके वस्त्र उन्हें दोबारा पहना दिए और उन्हें क्रूस पर चढ़ाने के लिए ले जाने लगे.

21 Now Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and the soldiers forced him to carry the cross of Jesus.

21 मार्ग में उन्हें कुरेनायॉस नगरवासी शिमओन नामक व्यक्ति मिला, जो अलेक्सान्दरॉस तथा रूफ़ॉस का पिता था, जिसे उन्होंने मसीह येशु का क्रूस उठाकर ले चलने के लिए विवश किया.

22 They brought Jesus to a place called Golgotha, which means The Place of the Skull.

22 वे मसीह येशु को लेकर गोलगोथा नामक स्थल पर आए, जिसका अर्थ है “खोपड़ी का स्थान.”

23 There they offered Him wine mixed with myrrh, but He did not take it.

23 उन्होंने मसीह येशु को गन्धरस मिला हुआ दाखरस देना चाहा किंतु मसीह येशु ने उसे स्वीकार न किया.

24 And they crucified Him. They also divided His garments by casting lots to decide what each of them would take.

24 तब उन्होंने मसीह येशु को क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया. उन्होंने मसीह येशु के वस्त्र बांटने के लिए पासा फेंका कि वस्त्र किसे मिलें.

25 It was the third hour when they crucified Him.

25 यह दिन का तीसरा घंटा था जब उन्होंने मसीह येशु को क्रूस पर चढ़ाया था.

26 And the charge inscribed against Him read: THE KING OF THE JEWS.

26 उनके दोषपत्र पर लिखा था: यहूदियों का राजा.

27 Along with Jesus, they crucified two robbers, one on His right and one on His left.

27 मसीह येशु के साथ दो राजद्रोहियों को भी क्रूस पर चढ़ाया गया था—एक उनकी दायीं ओर, दूसरा बायीं ओर. [

28 यह होने पर पवित्र शास्त्र का यह लेख पूरा हो गया: उसकी गिनती अपराधियों के साथ की गई.]

29 And those who passed by heaped abuse on Him, shaking their heads and saying, “Aha! You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,

29 आते जाते यात्री उपहास-मुद्रा में सिर हिला-हिला कर मज़ाक उड़ा रहे थे, “अरे ओ मंदिर को नाश कर, तीन दिन में उसको दुबारा बनानेवाले!

30 come down from the cross and save Yourself!”

30 बचा ले अपने आपको—उतर आ क्रूस से!”

31 In the same way, the chief priests and scribes mocked Him among themselves, saying, “He saved others, but He cannot save Himself!

31 इसी प्रकार प्रधान पुरोहित भी शास्त्रियों के साथ मिलकर आपस में उनका उपहास कर रहे थे, “अन्यों को तो बचाता रहा, स्वयं को नहीं बचा सकता!

32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe!” And even those who were crucified with Him berated Him.

32 यह मसीह—यह इस्राएल का राजा, अभी क्रूस से नीचे उतरे, तो हम उसमें विश्वास कर लेंगे!” मसीह येशु के साथ क्रूस पर चढ़ाए गए राजद्रोही भी उनकी ऐसी ही निंदा कर रहे थे.

33 From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land.

33 मध्याह्न सारे क्षेत्र पर अंधकार छा गया, जो तीन बजे तक छाया रहा.

34 At the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

34 नवें घंटे मसीह येशु ने ऊंचे शब्द में पुकारते हुए कहा, “एलोई, एलोई, लमा सबख़थानी?” जिसका अर्थ है, “मेरे परमेश्वर, मेरे परमेश्वर, आपने मुझे क्यों छोड़ दिया है?”

35 When some of those standing nearby heard this, they said, “Behold, He is calling Elijah.”

35 पास खड़े व्यक्तियों में से कुछ ने यह सुनकर कहा, “अरे! सुनो-सुनो! एलियाह को पुकार रहा है!”

36 And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine. He put it on a reed and held it up for Jesus to drink, saying, “Leave Him alone. Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.”

36 यह सुन एक व्यक्ति ने दौड़कर एक स्पंज को दाख के सिरके में डुबाकर उसे सरकंडे पर रख यह कहते हुए मसीह येशु को पीने के लिए दिया, “अब उसे छोड़ दो; चलो देखें, क्या एलियाह इसे क्रूस से नीचे उतारने आते हैं या नहीं.”

37 But Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed His last.

37 ऊंचे शब्द में पुकारने के साथ मसीह येशु ने अपने प्राण त्याग दिए.

38 And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

38 मंदिर का पर्दा ऊपर से नीचे तक फटकर दो भागों में बट गया.

39 When the centurion standing there in front of Jesus saw how He had breathed His last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”

39 क्रूस के सामने खड़े रोमी शताधिपति ने मसीह येशु को इस रीति से प्राण त्यागते देखकर कहा, “इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि यह व्यक्ति परमेश्वर का पुत्र था.”

40 And there were also women watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.

40 कुछ महिलाएं दूर खड़ी हुई यह सब देख रही थी. इनमें मगदालावासी मरियम, कनिष्ठ याकोब और योसेस की माता मरियम तथा शालोमे थी.

41 These women had followed Jesus and ministered to Him while He was in Galilee, and there were many other women who had come up to Jerusalem with Him.

41 मसीह येशु के गलील प्रवास के समय ये ही उनके पीछे चलते हुए उनकी सेवा करती रही थी. अन्य अनेक स्त्रियां भी थी, जो मसीह येशु के साथ येरूशलेम आई हुई थी.

42 Now it was already evening. Since it was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath),

42 यह शब्बाथ के पहले का तैयारी का दिन था. शाम हो गई थी.

43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent Council member who himself was waiting for the kingdom of God, boldly went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus.

43 अरिमथिया नगरवासी योसेफ़ ने, जो महासभा के प्रतिष्ठित सदस्य थे और स्वयं परमेश्वर के राज्य की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे, साहसपूर्वक पिलातॉस से मसीह येशु का शव ले जाने की अनुमति मांगी.

44 Pilate was surprised to hear that Jesus was already dead, so he summoned the centurion to ask if this was so.

44 पिलातॉस को विश्वास नहीं हो रहा था कि मसीह येशु के प्राण निकल चुके हैं; इसलिये उसने शताधिपति को बुलाकर उससे प्रश्न किया कि क्या मसीह येशु की मृत्यु हो चुकी है?

45 When Pilate had confirmed it with the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

45 शताधिपति से आश्वस्त होकर पिलातॉस ने योसेफ़ को मसीह येशु का शव ले जाने की अनुमति दे दी.

46 So Joseph bought a linen cloth, took down the body of Jesus, wrapped it in the cloth, and placed it in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance to the tomb.

46 योसेफ़ ने एक कफ़न मोल लिया, मसीह येशु का शव उतारा, उसे कफ़न में लपेटा और चट्टान में खोदी गई एक कंदरा-क़ब्र में रखकर कब्र द्वार पर एक बड़ा पत्थर लुढ़का दिया.

47 Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where His body was placed.

47 मगदालावासी मरियम तथा योसेस की माता मरियम यह देख रही थी कि मसीह येशु के शव को कहां रखा गया था.
