Revelation 7

1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back its four winds so that no wind would blow on land or sea or on any tree.

1 Então vi quatro anjos em pé nos quatro cantos da terra, impedindo os quatro ventos de soprarem na terra, no mar e em qualquer árvore.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, with the seal of the living God. And he called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:

2 E vi outro anjo que vinha do leste, trazendo o grande sinete do Deus vivente. E gritou em alta voz para aqueles quatro anjos que tinham recebido poder para fazer mal à terra e ao mar:

3 “Do not harm the land or sea or trees until we have placed a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”

3 “Esperem! Não façam nada ainda — não façam mal nem à terra, nem ao mar, nem às árvores — até que tenhamos posto a marca de Deus nas testas dos seus servos”.

4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel:

4 Eu ouvi o número dos que receberam esta marca. Eram 144.000, de todas as tribos de Israel.

5 From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000,

5 Da tribo de Judá foram selados 12.000, da tribo de Rúbem, 12.000, da tribo de Gade, 12.000,

6 from the tribe of Asher 12,000, from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000, from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,

6 da tribo de Aser, 12.000, da tribo de Naftali, 12.000, da tribo de Manassés, 12.000,

7 from the tribe of Simeon 12,000, from the tribe of Levi 12,000, from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,

7 da tribo de Simeão, 12.000, da tribo de Levi, 12.000, da tribo de Issacar, 12.000,

8 from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000, from the tribe of Joseph 12,000, and from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.

9 After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.

9 Depois disto, eu vi uma imensa multidão, grande demais para ser contada, de todas as nações, tribos, povos e línguas, que estava em pé diante do trono e diante do Cordeiro, com vestes brancas e com folhas de palmeiras nas mãos.

10 And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

10 E estavam gritando com um grande clamor: “A salvação vem do nosso Deus que está assentado no trono, e do Cordeiro”.

11 And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. And they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God,

11 E nesse momento todos os anjos estavam reunidos em pé ao redor do trono, dos anciãos e dos quatro seres viventes, e caindo com o rosto em terra diante do trono adoravam a Deus, dizendo:

12 saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

12 “Amém! Louvor, e glória, e sabedoria, e agradecimentos, e honra, e força e poder sejam ao nosso Deus para sempre e sempre. Amém!”

13 Then one of the elders addressed me: “These in white robes,” he asked, “who are they, and where have they come from?”

13 Então um dos vinte e quatro anciãos me perguntou: “Você sabe quem são estes que estão vestidos de branco e de onde eles vieram?”

14 “Sir,” I answered, “you know.” So he replied, “These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

14 “Eu não sei, Senhor”, respondi. “O Senhor sabe”. “Estes são aqueles que saíram da grande tribulação”, disse ele. “Lavaram suas vestes e as branquearam no sangue do Cordeiro.

15 For this reason, they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.

15 É por isso que eles estão aqui diante do trono de Deus, servindo-o de dia e de noite no seu templo. Aquele que está sentado no trono os abrigará na sua morada.

16 ‘Never again will they hunger, and never will they thirst; nor will the sun beat down upon them, nor any scorching heat.’

16 Eles nunca mais terão fome, nem sede, e serão totalmente protegidos do sol e do calor escaldante do meio-dia.

17 For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd. ‘He will lead them to springs of living water,’ and ‘God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”

17 Porque o Cordeiro que está diante do trono será o pastor deles e os guiará às fontes da água da vida. E Deus enxugará dos seus olhos toda lágrima”.
