1 Chronicles 10

1 Now the Philistines fought against Israel, and the men of Israel fled before them, and many fell slain on Mount Gilboa.

1 非利士人与以色列人交战，以色列人败逃，许多人在基利波山被杀。

2 The Philistines followed hard after Saul and his sons, and they killed Saul’s sons Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua.

2 非利士人穷追扫罗及其众子，杀了扫罗的儿子约拿单、亚比拿达和麦基舒亚。

3 When the battle intensified against Saul, the archers overtook him and wounded him.

3 扫罗周围战事激烈，他被弓箭手发现后射成重伤，

4 Then Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through with it, or these uncircumcised men will come and torture me!” But his armor-bearer was terrified and refused to do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

4 就对为他拿兵器的人说：“拔出你的刀来刺死我吧！免得那些未受割礼的人来凌辱我。”但拿兵器的人非常害怕，不敢动手，扫罗就拿起刀来，伏刀自尽了。

5 When his armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his own sword and died.

5 拿兵器的人看见扫罗已死，也伏刀自尽了。

6 So Saul died together with his three sons and all his house.

6 这样，扫罗和他三个儿子及全家都死了。

7 When all the Israelites in the valley saw that the army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their cities and ran away. So the Philistines came and occupied their cities.

7 住在山谷中的以色列人见以色列军败逃、扫罗及其众子已死，都弃城而逃。于是，非利士人占据了那些城邑。

8 The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.

8 次日，非利士人来剥阵亡者的衣物，发现扫罗及其众子横尸基利波山，

9 They stripped Saul, cut off his head, took his armor, and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temple of their idols and among their people.

9 就剥下扫罗的盔甲，割下他的头颅，并派人去非利士全境向他们的偶像和民众通告消息。

10 They put his armor in the temple of their gods and hung his head in the temple of Dagon.

10 他们把扫罗的盔甲放在他们的神庙里，把他的头颅挂在大衮神庙中。

11 When all the people of Jabesh-gilead heard about everything the Philistines had done to Saul,

11 基列·雅比人听见非利士人对扫罗的所作所为，

12 all their men of valor set out and retrieved the bodies of Saul and his sons and brought them to Jabesh. And they buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh and fasted seven days.

12 他们所有的勇士就去把扫罗和他儿子们的尸体运到雅比，葬在雅比的橡树下，并禁食七天。

13 So Saul died for his unfaithfulness to the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance,

13 扫罗死了，因为他对耶和华不忠，不听从祂的教诲，甚至去求问灵媒，

14 and he failed to inquire of the LORD. So the LORD put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.

14 而不求问耶和华。因此，耶和华使他被杀，把王位交给了耶西的儿子大卫。
