1 Chronicles 26

1 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers: From the Korahites: Meshelemiah son of Kore, one of the sons of Asaph.

1 A relação dos guardas das portas do templo é a seguinte: Dos coreítas, Meselemias, filho de Coré, da família de Asafe.

2 Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

2 Estes foram os filhos de Meselemias: Zacarias, o mais velho, Jediael, o segundo, Zebadias, o terceiro, Jatniel, o quarto,

3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, and Eliehoenai the seventh.

3 Elão, o quinto, Joanã, o sexto, e Elioenai, o sétimo.

4 And Obed-edom also had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sachar the fourth, Nethanel the fifth,

4 Estes foram os filhos de Obede-Edom: Semaías, o mais velho, Jeozabade, o segundo, Joá, o terceiro, Sacar, o quarto, Natanael, o quinto,

5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, and Peullethai the eighth. For God had blessed Obed-edom.

5 Amiel, o sexto, Issacar, o sétimo, e Peuletai, o oitavo. Deus tinha abençoado Obede-Edom ricamente!

6 Also to his son Shemaiah were born sons who ruled over their families because they were strong, capable men.

6 Seu filho Semaías também teve filhos, que foram líderes da família de seu pai e tinham posições de grande autoridade em suas famílias.

7 Shemaiah’s sons were Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad; his brothers were Elihu and Semachiah, also capable men.

7 Estes eram os nomes dos filhos de Semaías: Otni, Rafael, Obede, Elzabade. Eliú e Semaquias, parentes deles, também eram homens valentes e muito capazes.

8 All these were descendants of Obed-edom; they and their sons and brothers were capable men with strength to do the work—62 in all from Obed-edom.

8 Todos esses foram descendentes de Obede-Edom, num total de sessenta e dois descendentes. Eles eram homens importantes e estavam bem treinados para fazer o trabalho que deviam fazer.

9 Meshelemiah also had sons and brothers who were capable men—18 in all.

9 Meselemias teve dezoito filhos e parentes chegados, todos homens capazes.

10 Hosah the Merarite also had sons: Shimri the first (although he was not the firstborn, his father had appointed him as the first),

10 Estes foram os filhos de Hosa, o merarita: Sinri, que foi nomeado chefe pelo seu pai, embora não fosse o mais velho.

11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth. The sons and brothers of Hosah numbered 13 in all.

11 Hilquias, o segundo, Tebalias, o terceiro, Zacarias, o quarto. Os filhos e parentes de Hosa foram treze ao todo.

12 These divisions of the gatekeepers, through their chief men, had duties for ministering in the house of the LORD, just as their relatives did.

12 Os grupos dos guardas das portas do templo tinham os nomes dos seus chefes. Como os outros levitas, eles tinham a responsabilidade de servir no templo do Senhor.

13 They cast lots for each gate, according to their families, young and old alike.

13 Receberam a tarefa de guardas das diversas portas, e para isso não se levava em conta a posição da família, pois tudo era feito por sorteio.

14 The lot for the East Gate fell to Shelemiah. Then lots were cast for his son Zechariah, a wise counselor, and the lot for the North Gate fell to him.

14 A responsabilidade da porta do leste ficou com Selemias e o grupo dele. A porta do norte ficou com seu filho Zacarias, que era um sábio conselheiro.

15 The lot for the South Gate fell to Obed-edom, and the lot for the storehouses to his sons.

15 A porta do sul ficou com Obede-Edom e o grupo dele; os filhos de Obede-Edom tomavam conta dos depósitos.

16 The lots for the West Gate and the Shallecheth Gate on the ascending highway fell to Shuppim and Hosah. There were guards stationed at every watch.

16 A porta do oeste e a porta de Salequete, na rua de cima, ficaram com Supim e Hosa, nos dois lugares juntos.

17 Each day there were six Levites on the east, four on the north, four on the south, and two pairs at the storehouse.

17 Todos os dias, seis levitas tomavam conta da porta do leste, quatro da porta do norte, quatro da porta do sul e dois para cada uma das casas de depósitos.

18 As for the court on the west, there were four at the highway and two at the court.

18 Cada dia seis guardas eram indicados para a porta do oeste do pátio, quatro para a rua de cima e dois para o próprio pátio.

19 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers who were descendants of Korah and Merari.

19 Assim ficaram divididas as tarefas dos guardas que pertenciam ao grupo de famílias de Coré e de Merari.

20 Now their fellow Levites were in charge of the treasuries of the house of God and the treasuries of the dedicated things.

20 Os outros levitas, chefiados por Aías, cuidavam das ofertas trazidas ao Senhor, colocadas no local onde eram guardadas as riquezas do templo.

21 From the descendants of Ladan, who were Gershonites through Ladan and heads of the families of Ladan the Gershonite, were Jehieli,

21 Os gersonitas, descendentes de Ladã, foram os antepassados de muitos grupos de famílias, entre eles a família do seu filho Jeieli.

22 the sons of Jehieli, Zetham, and his brother Joel. They were in charge of the treasuries of the house of the LORD.

22 Zetã e Joel, também filhos de Jeieli eram encarregados do tesouro e dos depósitos do templo do Senhor.

23 From the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites:

23 Dos filhos de Anrão, de Jizar, de Hebrom e de Uziel:

24 Shebuel, a descendant of Gershom son of Moses, was the officer in charge of the treasuries.

24 Sebuel, descendente de Gérson e neto de Moisés, era o oficial chefe da casa dos tesouros.

25 His relatives through Eliezer included Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.

25 Seus parentes por parte de Eliezer eram os seguintes, por ordem: Eliezer foi pai de Reabias; Reabias foi pai de Jesaías; Jesaías foi pai de Jorão; Jorão foi pai de Zicri; Zicri foi pai de Selomote.

26 This Shelomith and his brothers were in charge of all the treasuries for the things dedicated by King David, by the heads of families who were the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and by the army commanders.

26 Selomote e seus parentes foram indicados para cuidar das ofertas consagradas ao Senhor pelo rei Davi, e pelos outros chefes do país, como os comandantes de mil e de cem, e pelos outros líderes do exército.

27 They had dedicated some of the plunder from their battles to the repair of the house of the LORD.

27 Esses homens dedicaram parte das coisas tomadas nas guerras para o sustento do templo do Senhor.

28 Everything that had been dedicated by Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah, along with everything else that was dedicated, was under the care of Shelomith and his brothers.

28 Selomote e seus parentes também tinham de cuidar das dádivas dedicadas ao Senhor por Samuel, o profeta, por Saul, filho de Quis, por Abner, filho de Ner, por Joabe, filho de Zeruia, e das demais ofertas consagradas ao Senhor.

29 From the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons had the outside duties as officers and judges over Israel.

29 Quenanias e seus filhos, da família de Jizar, foram nomeados administradores públicos de Israel, atuando como oficiais juízes.

30 From the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his relatives, 1,700 capable men, had charge of the affairs of Israel west of the Jordan for all the work of the LORD and for the service of the king.

30 Dos filhos de Hebrom, Hasabias e seus parentes, ao todo mil e setecentos homens capazes, tinham de cuidar de todas as questões religiosas e públicas do rei nas terras que ficavam a oeste do rio Jordão.

31 As for the Hebronites, Jerijah was the chief of the Hebronites, according to the genealogies of his ancestors. In the fortieth year of David’s reign the records were searched, and strong, capable men were found among the Hebronites at Jazer in Gilead.

31 De acordo com os registros genealógicos da família dos hebronitas, Jerias tinha sido indicado para ser o chefe delas. No ano quarenta do reinado de Davi, foi feita uma busca nos registros, e entre os descendentes de Hebrom foram encontrados soldados de grande coragem que pertenciam à família de Hebrom, e que moravam em Jazer, na região de Gileade.

32 Among Jerijah’s relatives there were 2,700 capable men who were heads of families. King David appointed them over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh for every matter pertaining to God and for the affairs of the king.

32 Entre os parentes de Jerias, o rei escolheu dois mil e setecentos chefes de famílias, todos homens de valor para dirigir as questões religiosas e públicas do rei nas tribos de Rúben, de Gade e da meia tribo de Manassés.
