1 Chronicles 9

1 So all Israel was recorded in the genealogies written in the Book of the Kings of Israel. But Judah was exiled to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness.

1 Cada pessoa em Israel tinha o registro de sua família cuidadosamente inscrito no Livro da História dos Reis de Israel. O povo de Judá foi levado como escravo para a Babilônia por causa da sua idolatria.

2 Now the first to resettle their own property in their cities were Israelites, priests, Levites, and temple servants.

2 Os primeiros a voltarem a morar de novo nas cidades de onde tinham saído foram algumas famílias do povo, também dos sacerdotes, dos levitas e dos que trabalhavam no templo.

3 Some of the descendants of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh lived in Jerusalem:

3 Depois, algumas famílias das tribos de Judá, Benjamim, Efraim e Manassés que chegaram a Jerusalém foram:

4 Uthai son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, a descendant of Perez son of Judah.

5 From the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn and his sons.

6 From the Zerahites: Jeuel and 690 relatives.

6 Dos descendentes de Zerá: Jeuel e seus parentes; ao todo, seiscentas e noventa pessoas.

7 From the Benjamites: Sallu son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah;

7 Dentre os membros da tribo de Benjamim que voltaram estavam estes: Salu, filho de Mesulão; Mesulão, filho de Hodavias; Hodavias, filho de Hassenua;

8 Ibneiah son of Jeroham; Elah son of Uzzi, the son of Michri; Meshullam son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;

8 Ibneias, filho de Jeroão; Elá, filho de Uzi; Uzi filho de Micri; Mesulão, filho de Sefatias; Sefatias, filho de Reuel; Reuel, filho de Ibnias.

9 and 956 of their relatives according to their genealogy. All these men were heads of their families.

9 Todos esses homens eram chefes de famílias. Os homens de Benjamim que voltaram foram novecentos e cinquenta e seis, todos registrados em sua genealogia.

10 From the priests: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, and Jachin;

10 Os sacerdotes que voltaram foram estes: Jedaías, Jeoiaribe, Jaquim,

11 Azariah son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the chief official of God’s temple;

11 Azarias, filho de Hilquias; Hilquias, filho de Mesulão; Mesulão, filho de Zadoque; Zadoque, filho de Meraiote; Meraiote, filho de Aitube, o principal encarregado da casa de Deus;

12 Adaiah son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah; Maasai son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

12 Adaías, filho de Jeroão, filho de Pasur, filho de Malquias; e Masai, filho de Adiel; Adiel, filho de Jazera; Jazera, filho de Mesulão; Mesulão, filho de Mesilemite; Mesilemite, filho de Imer.

13 and 1,760 of their relatives, the heads of their families, able men for the work of the service of the house of God.

13 No total, voltaram mil setecentos e sessenta sacerdotes que eram chefes de famílias. Eles eram homens capacitados para o serviço da casa de Deus.

14 From the Levites: Shemaiah son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, a descendant of Merari;

14 Entre os levitas que voltaram estavam: Semaías, filho de Hassube; Hassube, filho de Azricão; Azricão, filho de Hasabias, dos filhos de Merari.

15 Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

15 Baquebacar, Heres, Galal, Matanias, filho de Mica, filho de Zicri, que era filho de Asafe;

16 Obadiah son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.

16 Obadias, filho de Semaías, filho de Galal, filho de Jedutum, e Berequias, filho de Asa, filho de Elcana, que morava perto das aldeias dos netofatitas.

17 These were the gatekeepers: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their relatives. Shallum was their chief;

18 he was previously stationed at the King’s Gate on the east side. These were the gatekeepers from the camp of the Levites.

18 Eles eram os guardas da porta do Rei, a leste, e Salum era o chefe deles.

19 Shallum son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his relatives from the Korahites were assigned to guard the thresholds of the Tent, just as their fathers had been assigned to guard the entrance to the dwelling of the LORD.

19 Salum era filho de Coré, que era filho de Ebiasafe, que era filho de Corá. Ele e seus parentes mais chegados, os coraítas, tinham a responsabilidade de cuidar dos sacrifícios e de proteger as portas do Lugar Santo, da mesma maneira como os seus pais no passado eram os vigias e guardas da habitação do Senhor, o Tabernáculo.

20 In earlier times Phinehas son of Eleazar had been in charge of the gatekeepers, and the LORD was with him.

20 Naquele tempo, Fineias, filho de Eleazar, foi o primeiro encarregado dos guardas das portas, e o Senhor estava com ele.

21 Zechariah son of Meshelemiah was the gatekeeper at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

21 Nesse tempo, Zacarias, filho de Meselemias, era o responsável pela proteção das portas de entrada do Tabernáculo.

22 The number of those chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds was 212. They were registered by genealogy in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them to their positions of trust.

22 Havia duzentos e doze porteiros, naquele tempo. Eles eram escolhidos conforme as vilas onde moravam. Essa escolha era feita conforme os registros de famílias. Davi e o profeta Samuel escolheram esses homens porque eles mereciam confiança.

23 So they and their descendants were assigned to guard the gates of the house of the LORD—the house called the Tent.

23 Eles e os descendentes deles eram os responsáveis pela casa do Senhor, ou seja, o Tabernáculo.

24 The gatekeepers were stationed on the four sides: east, west, north, and south.

24 Eles vigiavam os quatro lados: leste, oeste, norte e sul.

25 Their relatives came from their villages at fixed times to serve with them for seven-day periods.

25 Os parentes deles, que moravam nas vilas, de tempo em tempo vinham prestar serviço; e cada vez que vinham, trabalhavam por um período de sete dias.

26 But the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the rooms and the treasuries of the house of God.

26 Os quatro principais guardas das portas, todos levitas, tinham um trabalho que só era feito por pessoas de grande confiança. Eles deviam cuidar das salas mais importantes e também dos tesouros da casa de Deus.

27 They would spend the night stationed around the house of God, because they were responsible for guarding it and opening it every morning.

27 Por causa desse trabalho importante de vigia, eles passavam a noite perto da casa de Deus, e abriam as portas todas as manhãs.

28 Some of them were in charge of the articles used in worship, to count them whenever they were brought in or taken out.

28 Alguns deles foram nomeados para cuidar dos diversos vasos usados nos sacrifícios e na adoração no templo. Eles conferiam tudo para que nada fosse perdido.

29 Others were put in charge of the furnishings and other articles of the sanctuary, as well as the fine flour, wine, oil, frankincense, and spices.

29 Outros ficaram responsáveis pelos móveis, pelos objetos do Lugar Santo e pelos fornecimentos como farinha, vinho, azeite, incenso e perfumes.

30 And some of the sons of the priests mixed the spices.

30 Outros sacerdotes preparavam os perfumes e o incenso.

31 A Levite named Mattithiah, the firstborn son of Shallum the Korahite, was entrusted with baking the bread.

31 Matitias, que era levita e filho mais velho de Salum, o coraíta, era quem fazia os bolos achatados para as ofertas.

32 Some of their Kohathite relatives were responsible for preparing the rows of the showbread every Sabbath.

32 Alguns dos homens da família de Coate eram responsáveis pelo preparo do pão especial todos os sábados.

33 Those who were musicians, the heads of Levite families, stayed in the temple chambers and were exempt from other duties because they were on duty day and night.

33 Os cantores eram todos levitas, chefes de famílias. Eles moravam nas salas do templo. Estavam ocupados dia e noite com o serviço que faziam. Por isso, estavam livres de outros trabalhos.

34 All these were heads of Levite families, chiefs according to their genealogies, and they lived in Jerusalem.

34 Todos eles eram chefes de famílias levitas, alistados como líderes em suas genealogias, e moravam em Jerusalém.

35 Jeiel the father of Gibeon lived in Gibeon. His wife’s name was Maacah.

35 Jeiel, que era casado com um mulher chamada Maaca, morava em Gibeom. Estes são alguns dos filhos dele:

36 Abdon was his firstborn son, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

36 Abdom, seu filho mais velho, Zur, Quis, Baal, Ner, Nadabe,

37 Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth.

37 Gedor, Aiô, Zacarias, Miclote.

38 Mikloth was the father of Shimeam. They too lived alongside their relatives in Jerusalem.

38 Miclote morava com o filho Simeia em Jerusalém, perto dos parentes dele.

39 Ner was the father of Kish, Kish was the father of Saul, and Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.

39 Ner foi o pai de Quis; Quis foi o pai de Saul; Saul foi o pai de Jônatas, Malquisua, Abinadabe e Esbaal.

40 The son of Jonathan: Merib-baal, who was the father of Micah.

41 The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.

41 Mica foi o pai de Pitom, Nieleque, Tareia e Acaz;

42 Ahaz was the father of Jarah; Jarah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri was the father of Moza.

42 Acaz foi o pai de Jaerá; Jaerá foi o pai de Alemete, Azmavete e Zinri; Zinri foi o pai de Moza.

43 Moza was the father of Binea. Rephaiah was his son, Elasah his son, and Azel his son.

43 Moza foi o pai de Bineá, que foi o pai de Refaías, que foi o pai de Eleasá, que foi o pai de Azel.

44 And Azel had six sons, and these were their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.

44 Azel teve seis filhos: Azricão, Bocru, Ismael, Searias, Obadias e Hanã.
