1 Samuel 7

1 Then the men of Kiriath-jearim came for the ark of the LORD and took it into Abinadab’s house on the hill. And they consecrated his son Eleazar to guard the ark of the LORD.

1 基列·耶琳人就下来把耶和华的约柜抬到山上，放在亚比拿达的家里，特派他的儿子以利亚撒看守耶和华的约柜。

2 And from that day a long time passed, twenty years in all, as the ark remained at Kiriath-jearim. And all the house of Israel mournfully sought the LORD.

2 约柜在基列·耶琳停留了二十年。那时，全体以色列人都痛悔地寻求耶和华。

3 Then Samuel said to all the house of Israel, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and Ashtoreths among you, prepare your hearts for the LORD, and serve Him only. And He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.”

3 撒母耳对他们说：“如果你们全心归向耶和华，就要除掉你们中间那些外族的神明和亚斯她录神像，一心归向耶和华，单单事奉祂，祂必从非利士人手中救你们。”

4 So the Israelites put away the Baals and Ashtoreths and served only the LORD.

4 于是，他们除掉了巴力和亚斯她录神像，单单事奉耶和华。

5 Then Samuel said, “Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to the LORD on your behalf.”

5 撒母耳又说：“你们全体以色列人到米斯巴来，我会为你们向耶和华祈求。”

6 When they had gathered at Mizpah, they drew water and poured it out before the LORD. On that day they fasted, and there they confessed, “We have sinned against the LORD.” And Samuel judged the Israelites at Mizpah.

6 他们就在那里聚集，打水倒在耶和华面前，并在当天禁食。他们说：“我们得罪了耶和华。”于是，撒母耳在米斯巴做以色列人的士师。

7 When the Philistines heard that the Israelites had gathered at Mizpah, their rulers marched up toward Israel. And when the Israelites learned of this, they feared the Philistines

7 非利士人听说以色列人在米斯巴聚集，他们的首领就率领军队来攻打以色列人。以色列人听见消息后，非常害怕。

8 and said to Samuel, “Do not stop crying out to the LORD our God for us, that He may save us from the hand of the Philistines.”

8 他们对撒母耳说：“请你为我们不停地呼求我们的上帝耶和华，求祂从非利士人手中拯救我们。”

9 Then Samuel took a suckling lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the LORD. He cried out to the LORD on behalf of Israel, and the LORD answered him.

9 撒母耳把一只还在吃奶的羊羔献给耶和华作全牲燔祭。他为以色列人呼求耶和华，耶和华垂听了他的祈求。

10 As the Philistines drew near to fight against Israel, Samuel was offering up the burnt offering. But that day the LORD thundered loudly against the Philistines and threw them into such confusion that they fled before Israel.

10 撒母耳正在献燔祭的时候，非利士人前来攻打以色列人。那天，耶和华向非利士人发出雷霆之声，使他们陷入恐慌，败在了以色列人手下。

11 Then the men of Israel charged out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, striking them down all the way to an area below Beth-car.

11 以色列人从米斯巴一路追杀他们，直到伯·甲附近。

12 Afterward, Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”

12 撒母耳拿了一块石头放在米斯巴和善的中间，称之为以便以谢 ，说：“耶和华到如今都帮助我们。”

13 So the Philistines were subdued, and they stopped invading the territory of Israel. And the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.

13 这样非利士人被征服了，没有再侵犯以色列边境。在撒母耳有生之年，耶和华一直出手对付非利士人。

14 The cities from Ekron to Gath, which the Philistines had taken, were restored to Israel, who also delivered the surrounding territory from the hand of the Philistines. And there was peace between the Israelites and the Amorites.

14 以色列人收复了从以革伦到迦特之间被非利士人夺去的城邑，并夺回了这些城邑的周边地区。那时以色列人与亚摩利人和平共处。

15 So Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.

15 撒母耳一生做以色列人的士师。

16 Every year he would go on a circuit from Bethel to Gilgal to Mizpah, judging Israel in all these places.

16 他每年都到伯特利、吉甲、米斯巴各地巡回，审理以色列人的案件。

17 Then he would return to Ramah because his home was there, and there he judged Israel and built an altar to the LORD.

17 之后，他才回到拉玛自己的家中，也在那里审理以色列人的案件，并为耶和华筑了一座祭坛。
