2 Chronicles 13

1 In the eighteenth year of Jeroboam’s reign, Abijah became king of Judah,

1 耶罗波安王执政第十八年，亚比雅登基做犹大王，

2 and he reigned in Jerusalem three years. His mother’s name was Micaiah daughter of Uriel; she was from Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

2 在耶路撒冷执政三年。他母亲叫米该亚 ，是基比亚人乌列的女儿。亚比雅和耶罗波安之间常有争战。

3 Abijah went into battle with an army of 400,000 chosen men, while Jeroboam drew up in formation against him with 800,000 chosen and mighty men of valor.

3 有一次，亚比雅率领四十万精兵出战，耶罗波安率领八十万精兵列阵迎战。

4 Then Abijah stood on Mount Zemaraim in the hill country of Ephraim and said, “Hear me, O Jeroboam and all Israel!

4 亚比雅站在以法莲山区的西玛莲山上说：“耶罗波安和全体以色列人啊，你们听我说，

5 Do you not know that the LORD, the God of Israel, has given the kingship of Israel to David and his descendants forever by a covenant of salt?

5 你们不知道以色列的上帝耶和华曾经立下永世之约 ，要把以色列国永远赐给大卫和他的子孙吗？

6 Yet Jeroboam son of Nebat, a servant of Solomon son of David, rose up and rebelled against his master.

6 尼八的儿子耶罗波安本是大卫的儿子所罗门的仆人，他却背叛他的主人，

7 Then worthless and wicked men gathered around him to resist Rehoboam son of Solomon when he was young, inexperienced, and unable to resist them.

7 召集一群无赖，与所罗门的儿子罗波安作对。那时，罗波安年轻怯懦，无力抵抗。

8 And now you think you can resist the kingdom of the LORD, which is in the hands of David’s descendants. You are indeed a vast army, and you have with you the golden calves that Jeroboam made for you as gods.

8 “现在你们仗着人多势众，又有耶罗波安制造的金牛犊作为你们的神明，便企图反抗大卫子孙所治理的耶和华的国度。

9 But did you not drive out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites? And did you not make priests for yourselves as do the peoples of other lands? Now whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams can become a priest of things that are not gods.

9 你们赶走了做耶和华祭司的亚伦之后裔和利未人，效法外族人的恶俗为自己设立祭司。任何人牵来一头公牛犊和七只公绵羊，就可以自封为假神的祭司。

10 But as for us, the LORD is our God. We have not forsaken Him; the priests who minister to the LORD are sons of Aaron, and the Levites attend to their duties.

10 “至于我们，耶和华是我们的上帝，我们没有背弃祂，我们有亚伦的后裔做祭司事奉耶和华，也有利未人各尽其职。

11 Every morning and every evening they present burnt offerings and fragrant incense to the LORD. They set out the rows of showbread on the ceremonially clean table, and every evening they light the lamps of the gold lampstand. We are carrying out the requirements of the LORD our God, while you have forsaken Him.

11 他们每天早晚向耶和华献燔祭，烧芬芳的香，把供饼摆在洁净 的桌子上，每晚点上金灯台的灯。我们遵守我们上帝耶和华的吩咐，你们却背弃祂。

12 Now behold, God Himself is with us as our head, and His priests with their trumpets sound the battle call against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the LORD, the God of your fathers, for you will not succeed.”

12 上帝与我们同在，祂率领我们。祂的祭司就要吹响向你们进攻的号角。以色列人啊，不要与你们祖先的上帝耶和华作对，因为你们绝不会得胜。”

13 Now Jeroboam had sent troops around to ambush from the rear, so that while he was in front of Judah, the ambush was behind them.

13 耶罗波安却在犹大人后面设伏兵，企图前后夹攻他们。

14 When Judah turned and discovered that the battle was both before and behind them, they cried out to the LORD. Then the priests blew the trumpets,

14 犹大人转身，发现自己腹背受敌，就呼求耶和华。祭司吹响号角，

15 and the men of Judah raised the battle cry. And when they raised the cry, God routed Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

15 犹大人便呐喊，上帝使耶罗波安和以色列人败在亚比雅和犹大人面前。

16 So the Israelites fled before Judah, and God delivered them into their hands.

16 以色列人从犹大人面前逃跑，上帝把他们交在犹大人手中。

17 Then Abijah and his people struck them with a mighty blow, and 500,000 chosen men of Israel fell slain.

17 亚比雅和他的军队大败以色列人，歼灭了他们五十万精兵。

18 Thus the Israelites were subdued at that time, and the men of Judah prevailed because they relied on the LORD, the God of their fathers.

18 这样，以色列人被击败，犹大人因为倚靠他们祖先的上帝耶和华而大获全胜。

19 Abijah pursued Jeroboam and captured some cities from him: Bethel, Jeshanah, and Ephron, along with their villages.

19 亚比雅追赶耶罗波安，攻取了伯特利、耶沙拿和以法拉音各城以及它们周围的村庄。

20 Jeroboam did not again recover his power during the days of Abijah, and the LORD struck him down and he died.

20 亚比雅在世之日，耶罗波安再也没有恢复势力。后来，耶和华攻击他，他就死了。

21 But Abijah grew strong, married fourteen wives, and became the father of twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.

21 亚比雅却日渐强大，他有十四个妻妾、二十二个儿子、十六个女儿。

22 Now the rest of the acts of Abijah, along with his ways and his words, are written in the Treatise of the Prophet Iddo.

22 亚比雅其余的事及其言行都记在易多先知的史记上。
