2 Chronicles 17

1 Asa’s son Jehoshaphat reigned in his place, and he strengthened himself against Israel.

1 亚撒的儿子约沙法继位，他发愤图强对抗以色列。

2 He stationed troops in every fortified city of Judah and put garrisons in the land of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim that his father Asa had captured.

2 他派兵驻守犹大所有的坚城，又把守备军安置在犹大和他父亲亚撒所征服的以法莲各城邑。

3 Now the LORD was with Jehoshaphat because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals,

3 耶和华与约沙法同在，因为他效法他祖先大卫起初所行的，没有寻求巴力，

4 but he sought the God of his father and walked by His commandments rather than the practices of Israel.

4 只寻求他父亲的上帝，遵行祂的诫命，没有效法以色列人的行为。

5 So the LORD established the kingdom in his hand, and all Judah brought him tribute, so that he had an abundance of riches and honor.

5 因此，耶和华巩固他的王位，所有的犹大人都向他进贡，他极有财富和尊荣。

6 And his heart took delight in the ways of the LORD; furthermore, he removed the high places and Asherah poles from Judah.

6 他专心遵行耶和华的道，铲除犹大境内的丘坛和亚舍拉神像。

7 In the third year of his reign, Jehoshaphat sent his officials Ben-hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah to teach in the cities of Judah,

7 他在执政第三年委派官员便·亥伊勒、俄巴底、撒迦利雅、拿坦业和米该亚到犹大各城教导民众，

8 accompanied by certain Levites—Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah—along with the priests Elishama and Jehoram.

8 与他们同去的还有利未人示玛雅、尼探雅、西巴第雅、亚撒黑、示米拉末、约拿单、亚多尼雅、多比雅和驼·巴多尼雅，还有祭司以利沙玛和约兰。

9 They taught throughout Judah, taking with them the Book of the Law of the LORD. They went throughout the towns of Judah and taught the people.

9 他们带着耶和华的律法书，走遍犹大各城镇教导民众。

10 And the dread of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that surrounded Judah, so that they did not make war against Jehoshaphat.

10 犹大周围的列国都惧怕耶和华，不敢与约沙法争战。

11 Some Philistines also brought gifts and silver as tribute to Jehoshaphat, and the Arabs brought him 7,700 rams and 7,700 goats from their flocks.

11 一些非利士人向他进贡礼物和银子，阿拉伯人也给他送来公绵羊和公山羊各七千七百只。

12 Jehoshaphat grew stronger and stronger, and he built fortresses and store cities in Judah

12 约沙法日渐强大，在犹大境内修建堡垒和储货城，

13 and kept vast supplies in the cities of Judah. He also had warriors in Jerusalem who were mighty men of valor.

13 在犹大各城储备大量物资。他又在耶路撒冷屯驻精兵，

14 These are their numbers according to the houses of their fathers: From Judah, the commanders of thousands: Adnah the commander, and with him 300,000 mighty men of valor;

14 其人数按宗族记在下面。 犹大族有千夫长押拿，率领精兵三十万；

15 next to him, Jehohanan the commander, and with him 280,000;

15 其次是千夫长约哈难，率领军兵二十八万；

16 and next to him, Amasiah son of Zichri, the volunteer for the LORD, and with him 200,000 mighty men of valor.

16 其次是自愿事奉耶和华的细基利的儿子亚玛斯雅，率领精兵二十万。

17 From Benjamin: Eliada, a mighty man of valor, and with him 200,000 armed with bows and shields;

17 便雅悯族有勇士以利雅大，率领手持弓箭和盾牌的军兵二十万；

18 and next to him, Jehozabad, and with him 180,000 armed for battle.

18 其次是约萨拔，率领武装好的军兵十八万。

19 These were the men who served the king, besides those he stationed in the fortified cities throughout Judah.

19 以上都是服侍王的军兵，不包括王派去驻守犹大各坚城的军兵。
