2 Samuel 8

1 Some time later, David defeated the Philistines, subdued them, and took Metheg-ammah from the hand of the Philistines.

1 后来大卫打败并征服了非利士人，夺取了他们的都城。

2 David also defeated the Moabites, made them lie down on the ground, and measured them off with a cord. He measured off with two lengths those to be put to death, and with one length those to be spared. So the Moabites became subject to David and brought him tribute.

2 他又打败了摩押人，让他们并排躺在地上，然后用绳子去量，每两绳之内的人都要被杀掉，第三绳的人留下性命。从此，摩押人臣服于大卫，向他进贡。

3 David also defeated Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, who had marched out to restore his dominion along the Euphrates River.

3 利合的儿子琐巴王哈大底谢出来，要恢复他在幼发拉底河一带的势力，大卫打败了他，

4 David captured from him a thousand chariots, seven thousand charioteers, and twenty thousand foot soldiers, and he hamstrung all the horses except a hundred he kept for the chariots.

4 俘获一千七百名骑兵和两万名步兵，砍断拉战车的马匹的蹄筋，只留下够拉一百辆战车的马匹。

5 When the Arameans of Damascus came to help King Hadadezer of Zobah, David struck down twenty-two thousand of their men.

5 大马士革的亚兰人前来支援琐巴王哈大底谢，大卫杀了他们两万二千人，

6 Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to David and brought him tribute. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.

6 还在大马士革的亚兰境内驻军，亚兰人臣服于大卫，向他进贡。耶和华使大卫无往而不胜。

7 And David took the gold shields that belonged to the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.

7 大卫夺走哈大底谢侍从的金盾牌，带回耶路撒冷，

8 And from Betah and Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David took a large amount of bronze.

8 又从哈大底谢统治的比他和比罗他两座城中夺走大量的铜。

9 When King Toi of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer,

9 哈马王陀以听说大卫打败哈大底谢全军，

10 he sent his son Joram to greet King David and bless him for fighting and defeating Hadadezer, who had been at war with Toi. Joram brought with him articles of silver and gold and bronze,

10 就派儿子约兰带着许多金银铜器去朝见大卫王，向他请安，祝贺他打败了哈大底谢。因为陀以常常和哈大底谢交战。

11 and King David dedicated these to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had dedicated from all the nations he had subdued—

11–12 大卫王把这些器皿和他征服亚兰人、摩押人、亚扪人、非利士人、亚玛力人，以及利合的儿子琐巴王哈大底谢时所得的金银都分别出来，奉献给耶和华。

12 from Edom and Moab, from the Ammonites and Philistines and Amalekites, and from the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

13 And David made a name for himself when he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

13 大卫在盐谷杀了一万八千亚兰人归来后，声威大振。

14 He placed garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites were subject to David. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.

14 他又在以东全境驻军，以东人都臣服于他。耶和华使他无往而不胜。

15 Thus David reigned over all Israel and administered justice and righteousness for all his people:

15 大卫治理全以色列，对百姓秉公行义。

16 Joab son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;

16 那时，洗鲁雅的儿子约押做元帅；亚希律的儿子约沙法做史官；

17 Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelech son of Abiathar were priests; Seraiah was the scribe;

17 亚希突的儿子撒督和亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒做祭司长；西莱雅做书记；

18 Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and Pelethites; and David’s sons were priestly leaders.

18 耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅统管基利提人和比利提人。大卫的众子都做祭司。
