Amos 1

1 These are the words of Amos, who was among the sheepherders of Tekoa—what he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, in the days when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.

1 犹大王乌西雅、约阿施的儿子以色列王耶罗波安执政期间，大地震前两年，提哥亚的牧人阿摩司看到了关于以色列的异象。以下是阿摩司的话。

2 He said: “The LORD roars from Zion and raises His voice from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds mourn, and the summit of Carmel withers.”

3 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Damascus, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they threshed Gilead with sledges of iron.

3 耶和华说： “大马士革人三番四次地犯罪， 我必不收回对他们的惩罚， 因为他们用打粮食的铁器蹂躏基列。

4 So I will send fire upon the house of Hazael to consume the citadels of Ben-hadad.

4 所以，我要降火在哈薛的王宫， 烧毁便·哈达的城堡。

5 I will break down the gates of Damascus; I will cut off the ruler from the Valley of Aven and the one who wields the scepter in Beth-eden. The people of Aram will be exiled to Kir,” says the LORD.

5 我要折断大马士革城的门闩， 铲除亚文平原 的居民和伯·伊甸的掌权者， 使亚兰人被掳到吉珥 。 这是耶和华说的。”

6 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Gaza, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they exiled a whole population, delivering them up to Edom.

6 耶和华说： “迦萨人三番四次地犯罪， 我必不收回对他们的惩罚， 因为他们把被掳之人全都带走， 卖到以东做奴隶。

7 So I will send fire upon the walls of Gaza, to consume its citadels.

7 所以，我要降火在迦萨的城墙上， 烧毁它的城堡。

8 I will cut off the ruler of Ashdod and the one who wields the scepter in Ashkelon. I will turn My hand against Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistines will perish,” says the Lord GOD.

8 我要铲除亚实突的居民和亚实基伦的掌权者， 伸手攻击以革伦， 剩下的非利士人都要灭亡。 这是主耶和华说的。”

9 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Tyre, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they delivered up a whole congregation of exiles to Edom and broke a covenant of brotherhood.

9 耶和华说： “泰尔人三番四次地犯罪， 我必不收回对他们的惩罚， 因为他们背弃弟兄之盟， 把被掳之人都卖到以东。

10 So I will send fire upon the walls of Tyre to consume its citadels.”

10 所以，我要降火在泰尔的城墙上， 烧毁它的城堡。”

11 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Edom, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because he pursued his brother with the sword and stifled all compassion; his anger raged continually, and his fury flamed incessantly.

11 耶和华说： “以东人三番四次地犯罪， 我必不收回对他们的惩罚， 因为他们拔刀追赶自己的弟兄， 没有半点怜悯之心； 他们怒气不息，永怀愤怒。

12 So I will send fire upon Teman to consume the citadels of Bozrah.”

12 所以，我要降火在提幔， 烧毁波斯拉的城堡。”

13 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of the Ammonites, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to enlarge their territory.

13 耶和华说： “亚扪人三番四次地犯罪， 我必不收回对他们的惩罚， 因为他们为了扩张领土， 竟剖开基列孕妇的肚腹。

14 So I will kindle a fire in the walls of Rabbah to consume its citadels amid war cries on the day of battle and a violent wind on the day of tempest.

14 所以，我要在战争的呐喊声中， 在狂风暴雨袭来时， 降火在拉巴的城墙上， 烧毁它的城堡。

15 Their king will go into exile—he and his princes together,” says the LORD.

15 他们的君王和首领要一同被掳。 这是耶和华说的。”
