Ezekiel 13

1 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

1 O Senhor enviou outra mensagem a mim, com a seguinte ordem:

2 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Tell those who prophesy out of their own imagination: Hear the word of the LORD!

2 “Filho do homem, profetize contra esses falsos profetas de Israel, que andam anunciando suas próprias ideias loucas: Ouçam a palavra do Senhor!

3 This is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit yet have seen nothing.

3 Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Esses profetas tolos, que inventam visões que não receberam e espalham suas próprias ideias, já estão condenados à destruição!

4 Your prophets, O Israel, are like foxes among the ruins.

4 “Esses falsos profetas são inúteis e mentirosos como uma raposa que se esconde entre as ruínas.

5 You did not go up to the gaps or restore the wall around the house of Israel so that it would stand in the battle on the Day of the LORD.

5 Falsos profetas, vocês nada fizeram para corrigir os defeitos do povo de Israel. Não ajudaram a consertar o muro da obediência a Deus, para Israel escapar à ruína quando chegar o dia do Senhor!

6 They see false visions and speak lying divinations. They claim, ‘Thus declares the LORD,’ when the LORD did not send them; yet they wait for the fulfillment of their message.

6 Pelo contrário! Só espalharam mentiras e visões falsas, dizendo ao povo ‘O Senhor diz que’, quando eu nunca lhes mandei dizer uma palavra sequer ao meu povo. E ainda esperam que eu cumpra o que vocês dizem?

7 Haven’t you seen a false vision and spoken a lying divination when you proclaim, ‘Thus declares the LORD,’ even though I have not spoken?

7 Por acaso não foram visões falsas, não foram adivinhações mentirosas, que vocês anunciaram ao povo, dizendo: ‘O Senhor diz que’, quando não fui eu quem falei?

8 Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Because you have uttered vain words and seen false visions, I am against you, declares the Lord GOD.

8 “Por isso, assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Vocês andaram espalhando mentiras e visões falsas em meu nome e eu os destruirei.

9 My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and speak lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of My people or be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.

9 Serei inimigo feroz dos profetas que têm visões falsas, dos adivinhos que só querem enganar. Eles serão eliminados do meio dos líderes de Israel. Suas famílias não serão consideradas como casa de Israel, e eles serão expulsos da terra para sempre. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor.

10 Because they have led My people astray, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and whitewashing any flimsy wall that is built,

10 “Esses homens andam enganando o meu povo, prometendo paz, quando não há paz. O povo constrói um muro fino para se proteger, e os falsos profetas os iludem dizendo que ele é bem forte. Para completar a mentira, dão uma mão de cal no muro.

11 tell those whitewashing the wall that it will fall. Rain will come in torrents, I will send hailstones plunging down, and a windstorm will burst forth.

11 Por isso, Ezequiel, diga a esses profetas: Seu muro pintado vai cair! Haverá chuva e uma grande inundação; chuva de pedras e um vento muito forte acabarão jogando por terra seu muro fraco.

12 Surely when the wall has fallen, you will not be asked, ‘Where is the whitewash with which you covered it?’

12 E quando ele cair, o povo vai perguntar aos caiadores: ‘Por que vocês não nos avisaram que esse muro estava mal construído? Por que cobriram as falhas com cal?’

13 Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: In My wrath I will release a windstorm, and in My anger torrents of rain and hail will fall with destructive fury.

13 “Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Na minha ira lançarei um terrível furacão, uma chuva forte contra esse muro. Além disso, haverá uma chuva de pedras que mandarei na minha ira, para destruir essa falsa proteção do meu povo.

14 I will tear down the wall you whitewashed and level it to the ground, so that its foundation is exposed. The city will fall, and you will be destroyed within it. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

14 Podem estar bem certos de que vou derrubar seu muro. Ele será destruído, a ponto de aparecerem os alicerces. Quando cair, vocês serão destruídos, e então vão saber que eu sou o Senhor.

15 And after I have vented My wrath against the wall and against those who whitewashed it, I will say to you: ‘The wall is gone, and so are those who whitewashed it—

15 Assim, a minha ira contra o muro e os homens que o deixaram bonito por fora, mas cheio de falhas, será cumprida. Então direi a eles: O muro caiu e os que o pintaram com cal foram destruídos.

16 those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw a vision of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Lord GOD.’

16 Os profetas de Israel não passavam de um bando de profetas mentirosos, anunciando visões de paz para Jerusalém, quando não existe paz, diz o Soberano, o Senhor.

17 Now, O son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy out of their own imagination. Prophesy against them

17 “Agora, filho do homem, acuse perante o povo essas mulheres que profetizam mentiras do seu próprio coração. Profetize contra essas falsas profetisas

18 and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the women who sew magic charms on their wrists and make veils for the heads of people of every height, in order to ensnare their souls. Will you ensnare the souls of My people but preserve your own?

18 e diga: Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Essas mulheres que vendem amuletos para colocar nos pulsos e no pescoço, que ensinam o povo a usar véus mágicos, armadilhas para destruir as vidas das pessoas, já estão condenadas. Vocês pensam que podem destruir as almas do meu povo e que conseguirão salvar outras almas do meu castigo?

19 You have profaned Me among My people for handfuls of barley and scraps of bread. By lying to My people who would listen, you have killed those who should not have died and spared those who should not have lived.

19 A troco de um punhado de cevada ou de alguns pedaços de pão, vocês me desonraram diante do povo! Vocês anunciaram castigo eterno para pessoas que não deviam morrer, e prometeram vida eterna e feliz a quem não vai receber! Vocês fizeram o meu povo acreditar nas mentiras que andam espalhando em Israel!

20 Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: See, I am against the magic charms with which you ensnare souls like birds, and I will tear them from your arms. So I will free the souls you have ensnared like birds.

20 “Por isso, assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Eu destruirei os amuletos e véus mágicos que vocês usaram para escravizar as pessoas. Libertarei os prisioneiros de sua magia, e acabarei com os seus encantamentos.

21 I will also tear off your veils and deliver My people from your hands, so that they will no longer be prey in your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

21 Rasgarei as redes e livrarei as almas que vocês pensam que prenderam. Essas almas, livres como pássaros, nunca mais serão enganadas, e então vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor.

22 Because you have disheartened the righteous with your lies, even though I have caused them no grief, and because you have encouraged the wicked not to turn from their evil ways to save their lives,

22 As suas mentiras acabaram com a alegria dos justos, coisa que eu nunca desejei para eles. Vocês convenceram os pecadores a continuar nos seus caminhos errados, e dessa forma não salvarem a sua vida!

23 therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will deliver My people from your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”

23 Mas agora chegou o fim de suas mentiras, sonhos e adivinhações! Libertarei o meu povo do seu poder, e então vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor”.
