Ezekiel 25

1 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

1 Voltei a receber uma mensagem do Senhor, que dizia:

2 “Son of man, set your face against the Ammonites and prophesy against them.

2 “Filho do homem, vire-se na direção da terra de Amom e profetize contra os seus moradores.

3 Tell the Ammonites to hear the word of the Lord GOD, for this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you exclaimed, “Aha!” when My sanctuary was profaned, when the land of Israel was laid waste, and when the house of Judah went into exile,

3 Diga-lhes: Ouçam a palavra do Soberano, o Senhor: Vocês zombaram quando o meu templo foi destruído, riram de Israel quando foi arrasada pelos assírios e se alegraram quando o povo de Judá foi levado para o exílio na Babilônia.

4 therefore I will indeed give you as a possession to the people of the East. They will set up their camps and pitch their tents among you. They will eat your fruit and drink your milk.

4 Por isso, os entregarei na mão dos moradores do deserto da Arábia. Eles montarão suas tendas na terra de Amom, comerão os frutos que vocês plantaram e beberão o leite do seu gado.

5 I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels, and Ammon a resting place for sheep. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’

5 Farei de Rabá, sua capital, uma estrebaria para camelos; a terra de Amom será transformada num grande pasto para ovelhas. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor!

6 For this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you clapped your hands and stomped your feet and rejoiced over the land of Israel with a heart full of contempt,

6 “Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Já que vocês pularam e bateram palmas de alegria quando o meu povo foi destruído,

7 therefore I will indeed stretch out My hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will cut you off from the peoples and exterminate you from the countries. I will destroy you, and you will know that I am the LORD.’

7 já estendi o meu braço para castigar vocês. Muitas nações atacarão sua terra e roubarão todas as suas riquezas. Vocês serão riscados do mapa; todos os amonitas serão destruídos. Destruirei completamente a sua nação, e vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor.

8 This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because Moab and Seir said, “Look, the house of Judah is like all the other nations,”

8 “Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Os moabitas andam dizendo que Judá não vale nada, e se tornou como todas as outras nações.

9 therefore I will indeed expose the flank of Moab beginning with its frontier cities—Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim—the glory of the land.

9 Por isso, rasgarei as costas de Moabe e destruirei as cidades de sua fronteira leste, que são o orgulho do país, Bete-Jesimote, Baal-Meom e Quiriataim.

10 I will give it along with the Ammonites as a possession to the people of the East, so that the Ammonites will no longer be remembered among the nations.

10 Essas cidades serão ocupadas pelos moradores do deserto da Arábia, como aconteceu com a terra de Amom. Os moabitas também serão esquecidos entre as nações.

11 So I will execute judgments on Moab, and they will know that I am the LORD.’

11 Eu farei justiça a Moabe, e assim eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor.

12 This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because Edom acted vengefully against the house of Judah, and in so doing incurred grievous guilt,

12 “Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Os edomitas foram muito cruéis, vingando-se de Judá na hora do sofrimento. Por isso, são culpados de um pecado muito grave.

13 therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: I will stretch out My hand against Edom and cut off from it both man and beast. I will make it a wasteland, and from Teman to Dedan they will fall by the sword.

13 Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Estenderei meu braço para castigar Edom. Destruirei os edomitas e seus animais. Transformarei Edom num deserto, desde Temã até Dedã, deixando a terra completamente destruída pela guerra.

14 I will take My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel, and they will deal with Edom according to My anger and wrath. Then they will know My vengeance, declares the Lord GOD.’

14 A minha vingança contra Edom será feita pelo meu próprio povo Israel. Ele castigará Edom conforme a minha ira. Assim os edomitas conhecerão a minha vingança. Palavra do Soberano, o Senhor.

15 This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because the Philistines acted in vengeance, taking vengeance with malice of soul to destroy Judah with ancient hostility,

15 “Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Os filisteus quiseram ir à forra e com o coração carregado de maldade e desprezo se vingaram de Judá.

16 therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I will stretch out My hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites and destroy the remnant along the coast.

16 Por isso, assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Estenderei o meu braço para castigar os filisteus; eliminarei os queretitas e destruirei as cidades do litoral.

17 I will execute great vengeance against them with furious reproof. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay My vengeance upon them.’”

17 Castigarei esse povo duramente; e me vingarei dos filisteus na minha ira. Quando isso acontecer, eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor”.
