Haggai 2

1 On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the LORD came through Haggai the prophet, saying:

1 七月二十一日，耶和华的话临到先知哈该说：

2 “Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and also to the remnant of the people. Ask them,

2 「你要晓谕犹大省长撒拉铁的儿子所罗巴伯和约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚，并剩下的百姓，说：

3 ‘Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not appear to you like nothing in comparison?’

3 你们中间存留的，有谁见过这殿从前的荣耀呢？现在你们看着如何？岂不在眼中看如无有吗？」

4 But now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the LORD. Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. And be strong, all you people of the land, declares the LORD. Work! For I am with you, declares the LORD of Hosts.

4 耶和华说：「所罗巴伯啊，虽然如此，你当刚强！约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚啊，你也当刚强！这地的百姓，你们都当刚强做工，因为我与你们同在。这是万军之耶和华说的。

5 This is the promise I made to you when you came out of Egypt. And My Spirit remains among you; do not be afraid.”

5 这是照着你们出埃及我与你们立约的话。那时，我的灵住在你们中间，你们不要惧怕。」

6 For this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.

6 万军之耶和华如此说：「过不多时，我必再一次震动天地、沧海，与旱地。

7 I will shake all the nations, and they will come with all their treasures, and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of Hosts.

7 我必震动万国；万国的珍宝必都运来 ，我就使这殿满了荣耀。这是万军之耶和华说的。」

8 The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, declares the LORD of Hosts.

8 万军之耶和华说：「银子是我的，金子也是我的。

9 The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former, says the LORD of Hosts. And in this place I will provide peace, declares the LORD of Hosts.”

9 这殿后来的荣耀必大过先前的荣耀；在这地方我必赐平安。这是万军之耶和华说的。」

10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to Haggai the prophet, saying,

10 大流士王第二年九月二十四日，耶和华的话临到先知哈该说：

11 “This is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Ask the priests for a ruling.

11 万军之耶和华如此说：「你要向祭司问律法，

12 If a man carries consecrated meat in the fold of his garment, and it touches bread, stew, wine, oil, or any other food, does that item become holy?’” “No,” replied the priests.

12 说：若有人用衣襟兜圣肉，这衣襟挨着饼，或汤，或酒，或油，或别的食物，便算为圣吗？」祭司说：「不算为圣。」

13 So Haggai asked, “If one who is defiled by contact with a corpse touches any of these, does it become defiled?” “Yes, it becomes defiled,” the priests answered.

13 哈该又说：「若有人因摸死尸染了污秽，然后挨着这些物的哪一样，这物算污秽吗？」祭司说：「必算污秽。」

14 Then Haggai replied, “So it is with this people and this nation before Me, declares the LORD, and so it is with every work of their hands; whatever they offer there is defiled.

14 于是哈该说：「耶和华说：这民这国，在我面前也是如此；他们手下的各样工作都是如此；他们在坛上所献的也是如此。」

15 Now consider carefully from this day forward: Before one stone was placed on another in the temple of the LORD,

15 现在你们要追想，此日以前，耶和华的殿没有一块石头垒在石头上的光景。

16 from that time, when one came expecting a heap of twenty ephahs of grain, there were but ten. When one came to the winepress to draw out fifty baths, there were but twenty.

16 在那一切日子，有人来到谷堆，想得二十斗，只得了十斗。有人来到酒池，想得五十桶，只得了二十桶。

17 I struck you—all the work of your hands—with blight, mildew, and hail, but you did not turn to Me, declares the LORD.

17 在你们手下的各样工作上，我以旱风、霉烂、冰雹攻击你们，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。

18 Consider carefully from this day forward—from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, the day the foundation of the LORD’s temple was laid—consider carefully:

18 你们要追想此日以前，就是从这九月二十四日起，追想到立耶和华殿根基的日子。

19 Is there still seed in the barn? The vine, the fig, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yet yielded fruit. But from this day on, I will bless you.”

19 仓里有谷种吗？葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树、橄榄树都没有结果子。从今日起，我必赐福与你们。

20 For the second time that day, the twenty-fourth day of the month, the word of the LORD came to Haggai, saying,

20 这月二十四日，耶和华的话二次临到哈该说：

21 “Tell Zerubbabel governor of Judah that I am about to shake the heavens and the earth:

21 「你要告诉犹大省长所罗巴伯说：我必震动天地。

22 I will overturn royal thrones and destroy the power of the kingdoms of the nations. I will overturn chariots and their riders; horses and their riders will fall, each by the sword of his brother.

22 我必倾覆列国的宝座，除灭列邦的势力，并倾覆战车和坐在其上的。马必跌倒，骑马的败落，各人被弟兄的刀所杀。

23 On that day, declares the LORD of Hosts, I will take you, My servant, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, declares the LORD, and I will make you like My signet ring, for I have chosen you, declares the LORD of Hosts.”

23 万军之耶和华说：我仆人撒拉铁的儿子所罗巴伯啊，到那日，我必以你为印，因我拣选了你。这是万军之耶和华说的。」
