Isaiah 15

1 This is the burden against Moab: Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! Kir in Moab is devastated, destroyed in a night!

1 Esta é a mensagem de Deus para o povo de Moabe: Numa só noite, suas cidades de Ar e Quir serão destruídas.

2 Dibon goes up to its temple to weep at its high places. Moab wails over Nebo, as well as over Medeba. Every head is shaved, every beard is cut off.

2 Em Dibom o povo vai aos templos para chorar, pelo triste destino dos montes Nebo e Medeba. Em sua tristeza, eles rapam suas cabeças e cortam suas barbas.

3 In its streets they wear sackcloth; on the rooftops and in the public squares they all wail, falling down weeping.

3 Todos andam pelas ruas vestidos de pano de saco e gritam nas praças; nos terraços e nas praças públicas todos gritam e choram amargamente.

4 Heshbon and Elealeh cry out; their voices are heard as far as Jahaz. Therefore the soldiers of Moab cry out; their souls tremble within.

4 Os gritos e o choro dos moradores de Hesbom e Eleale podem ser ouvidos até em Jaaz. Os soldados mais valentes de Moabe gritam, e o coração deles treme de medo.

5 My heart cries out over Moab; her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Eglath-shelishiyah. With weeping they ascend the slope of Luhith; they lament their destruction on the road to Horonaim.

5 O meu coração chora por causa de Moabe! Os moabitas fogem para Zoar e Eglate. Sobem chorando a ladeira de Luíte e descem o caminho de Horonaim gritando de desespero diante da destruição,

6 The waters of Nimrim are dried up, and the grass is withered; the vegetation is gone, and the greenery is no more.

6 porque até as águas do rio Ninrim secaram! Os pastos verdes secaram e as plantas que havia junto ao rio sumiram; todo verde desapareceu.

7 So they carry their wealth and belongings over the Brook of the Willows.

7 Desesperado, o povo de Moabe foge para o outro lado do riacho dos Salgueiros, levando a riqueza que armazenaram.

8 For their outcry echoes to the border of Moab. Their wailing reaches Eglaim; it is heard in Beer-elim.

8 De uma fronteira à outra espalha-se o clamor em Moabe; em Eglaim até Beer-Elim ouve-se o seu lamento.

9 The waters of Dimon are full of blood, but I will bring more upon Dimon—a lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon the remnant of the land.

9 As águas do riacho de Dimom ficarão vermelhas de sangue. Mas esse não será todo o meu castigo contra Dimom! Leões vão atacar os sobreviventes, tanto os que fugirem de Moabe como os que ficarem em sua terra.
