Obadiah 1

1 This is the vision of Obadiah: This is what the Lord GOD says about Edom—We have heard a message from the LORD; an envoy has been sent among the nations to say, “Rise up, and let us go to battle against her!”—

1 以下是俄巴底亚看到的异象。 我们从耶和华那里听到消息， 有位使者被派去对列国说： “起来，我们去攻打以东吧！” 关于以东，主耶和华说：

2 “Behold, I will make you small among the nations; you will be deeply despised.

2 “看啊，我要使你在列国中最弱小， 备受藐视。

3 The pride of your heart has deceived you, O dwellers in the clefts of the rocks whose habitation is the heights, who say in your heart, ‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’

3 你住在岩穴中， 居住在高山上， 自以为谁也不能把你拉下来， 但你的骄傲欺骗了你。

4 Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, even from there I will bring you down,” declares the LORD.

4 即使你如鹰高飞， 在星辰间搭窝， 我也必把你拉下来。 这是耶和华说的。

5 “If thieves came to you, if robbers by night—oh, how you will be ruined—would they not steal only what they wanted? If grape gatherers came to you, would they not leave some gleanings?

5 “盗贼夜间来你家， 难道不只偷所需要的吗？ 人们到你那里摘葡萄， 难道不留下几串吗？ 但你会被彻底毁灭！

6 But how Esau will be pillaged, his hidden treasures sought out!

6 以扫 要被洗劫一空， 他藏的珍宝要被搜去。

7 All the men allied with you will drive you to the border; the men at peace with you will deceive and overpower you. Those who eat your bread will set a trap for you without your awareness of it.

7 你的盟友将你逐出家园； 你的朋友欺骗你，战胜你； 你的知己设陷阱害你， 你却懵然不知。”

8 In that day, declares the LORD, will I not destroy the wise men of Edom and the men of understanding in the mountains of Esau?

8 耶和华说：“到那天， 我要毁灭以东的智者， 除掉以扫山上的明哲。

9 Then your mighty men, O Teman, will be terrified, so that everyone in the mountains of Esau will be cut down in the slaughter.

9 提幔的勇士必惊慌失措， 以扫山上的人尽遭杀戮。

10 Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame and cut off forever.

10 “因你曾残暴地对待同胞兄弟雅各， 你必蒙羞，永遭毁灭。

11 On the day you stood aloof while strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gate and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were just like one of them.

11 当外人掠夺雅各的财物、 异族攻入耶路撒冷的城门抽签分赃时， 你竟然袖手旁观， 就像他们的同伙一样。

12 But you should not gloat in that day, your brother’s day of misfortune, nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor boast proudly in the day of their distress.

12 你的亲族遭难之日， 你不该幸灾乐祸； 犹大人被灭的日子， 你不该兴高采烈； 他们遭难的日子， 你不该口出狂言；

13 You should not enter the gate of My people in the day of their disaster, nor gloat over their affliction in the day of their disaster, nor loot their wealth in the day of their disaster.

13 我子民遭难的日子， 你不该闯进他们的城； 他们遭难的日子， 你不该幸灾乐祸； 他们遭难的日子， 你不该趁火打劫；

14 Nor should you stand at the crossroads to cut off their fugitives, nor deliver up their survivors in the day of their distress.

14 你不该站在路口截杀那些逃亡者； 他们遭难的日子， 你不该把幸存者交给仇敌。

15 For the Day of the LORD is near for all the nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your recompense will return upon your own head.

15 “耶和华惩罚万国的日子近了。 必按你的所作所为报应你， 你的恶行必落到自己头上。

16 For as you drank on My holy mountain, so all the nations will drink continually. They will drink and gulp it down; they will be as if they had never existed.

16 犹大人在我的圣山上怎样饱饮愤怒， 万国也要照样不停地喝， 且要大口吞下， 直到他们完全消逝。

17 But on Mount Zion there will be deliverance, and it will be holy, and the house of Jacob will reclaim their possession.

17 “然而，锡安山必成为避难所， 成为圣地。 雅各家必得到自己的产业。

18 Then the house of Jacob will be a blazing fire, and the house of Joseph a burning flame; but the house of Esau will be stubble—Jacob will set it ablaze and consume it. Therefore no survivor will remain from the house of Esau.” For the LORD has spoken.

18 雅各家将成为火， 约瑟家将成为烈焰， 以扫家将成为碎秸， 被火焚烧、吞噬，无一人逃脱。 这是耶和华说的。

19 Those from the Negev will possess the mountains of Esau; those from the foothills will possess the land of the Philistines. They will occupy the fields of Ephraim and Samaria, and Benjamin will possess Gilead.

19 “南地的人将占领以扫山； 丘陵的人将占领非利士， 夺取以法莲和撒玛利亚； 便雅悯人将占领基列。

20 And the exiles of this host of the Israelites will possess the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath; and the exiles from Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess the cities of the Negev.

20 被掳的以色列人将占领迦南人的土地，远至撒勒法； 从耶路撒冷被掳到西法拉的人将占领南地各城。

21 The deliverers will ascend Mount Zion to rule over the mountains of Esau. And the kingdom will belong to the LORD.

21 拯救者必登上锡安山， 统治以扫山， 耶和华必做王掌权。”
