Psalms 15

1 A Psalm of David. O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy mountain?

1 याहवेह, कौन आपके तंबू में रह सकेगा? कौन आपके पवित्र पर्वत पर निवास कर सकेगा?

2 He who walks with integrity and practices righteousness, who speaks the truth from his heart,

2 वही, जिसका आचरण निष्कलंक है, जो धार्मिकता का आचरण करता है, जो हृदय से सच बोलता है;

3 who has no slander on his tongue, who does no harm to his neighbor, who casts no scorn on his friend,

3 जिसकी जीभ से निंदा के शब्द नहीं निकलते, जो न तो अपने पड़ोसी की बुराई करता है, और न अपने किसी मित्र की,

4 who despises the vile but honors those who fear the LORD, who does not revise a costly oath,

4 जिसके लिए याहवेह की दृष्टि में निकम्मा पुरुष घृणित है, किंतु याहवेह का भय माननेवाले पुरुष सम्मान्य; जो हर मूल्य पर अपनी प्रतिज्ञा पूर्ण करता है, चाहे उसकी हानि ही क्यों न हो;

5 who lends his money without interest and refuses a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

5 जो ऋण देकर ब्याज नहीं लेता; और निर्दोष के विरुद्ध झूठी गवाही देने के उद्देश्य से घूस नहीं लेता. इस प्रकार के आचरण का पुरुष सदैव स्थिर रहेगा वह कभी न डगमगाएगा.
