Revelation 4

1 After this I looked and saw a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had previously heard speak to me like a trumpet was saying, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after these things.”

1 Então, quando olhei, vi uma porta aberta no céu, e a mesma voz que eu tinha ouvido antes, que tinha soado como um poderoso toque de trombeta, falou comigo e disse: “Suba para cá e eu lhe mostrarei o que deve acontecer depois destas coisas!”

2 At once I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne standing in heaven, with someone seated on it.

2 E no mesmo instante eu fui dominado pelo Espírito. E vi um trono no céu e alguém sentado nele!

3 The One seated there looked like jasper and carnelian, and a rainbow that gleamed like an emerald encircled the throne.

3 O seu rosto brilhava como as pedras de jaspe e sardônio e um arco-íris fulgurante como uma esmeralda envolvia o trono.

4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and on these thrones sat twenty-four elders dressed in white, with golden crowns on their heads.

4 Esse trono estava rodeado por vinte e quatro tronos, com vinte e quatro anciãos sentados neles, todos vestidos de branco, com coroas de ouro na cabeça.

5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. Before the throne burned seven torches of fire. These are the seven spirits of God.

5 Do trono saíam relâmpagos e trovões, e havia vozes nos trovões. Bem na frente do trono dele havia sete lâmpadas acesas, que são os sete espíritos de Deus.

6 And before the throne was something like a sea of glass, as clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, covered with eyes in front and back.

6 Diante do trono achava-se estendido um brilhante mar de cristal. Nos quatro lados do trono estavam quatro seres viventes, cobertos de olhos na frente e atrás.

7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second like a calf, the third had a face like a man, and the fourth was like an eagle in flight.

7 O primeiro destes seres viventes tinha a forma de um leão; o segundo parecia um boi; o terceiro tinha o rosto de um homem; e o quarto tinha a forma de uma águia, com as asas abertas como se estivesse voando.

8 And each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around and within. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”

8 Cada um desses seres viventes tinha seis asas, e a parte central das asas deles estava coberta de olhos. Dia e noite eles viviam dizendo: “Santo! Santo! Santo é o Senhor Deus Todo-poderoso, que era, que é, e que virá”.

9 And whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the One seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever,

9 E, quando os seres viventes deram glória, honra e agradecimentos ao que está sentado no trono, que vive para todo o sempre,

10 the twenty-four elders fall down before the One seated on the throne, and they worship Him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

10 os vinte e quatro anciãos caíram diante dele e adoraram aquele que vive eternamente; e depositaram suas coroas diante do trono, dizendo:

11 “Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things; by Your will they exist and were created.”

11 “Ó Senhor, e Deus nosso, digno é de receber a glória, a honra e o poder, porque o Senhor criou todas as coisas. Elas foram criadas e chamadas à existência por um ato da sua vontade”.
