Zechariah 13

1 “On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the people of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.

1 “Naquele dia haverá uma fonte que jorrará para o povo de Israel e os habitantes de Jerusalém, para limpá-los de todos os seus pecados e impurezas”.

2 And on that day, declares the LORD of Hosts, I will erase the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered. I will also remove the prophets and the spirit of impurity from the land.

2 E o Senhor dos Exércitos declara: “Naquele dia acabarei com qualquer adoração aos ídolos da terra de Israel. Até os nomes dos ídolos serão esquecidos. Todos os falsos profetas e o espírito da impureza serão eliminados.

3 And if anyone still prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will say to him, ‘You shall not remain alive, because you have spoken falsely in the name of the LORD.’ When he prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will pierce him through.

3 Se alguém quiser começar novamente a profetizar falsamente, seu próprio pai e sua mãe lhe dirão: ‘Você deve morrer, porque está profetizando mentiras no nome do Senhor’. Quando ele profetizar, os próprios pais o matarão.

4 And on that day every prophet who prophesies will be ashamed of his vision, and he will not put on a hairy cloak in order to deceive.

4 “Naqueles dias nenhum profeta vai contar vantagem e se envergonhará de sua visão profética. Ninguém vai usar roupas de profeta para tentar enganar o povo!

5 He will say, ‘I am not a prophet; I work the land, for I was purchased as a servant in my youth.’

5 E se perguntarem a alguém se é profeta, ele responderá: ‘Eu? Eu não sou profeta. Sou lavrador; trabalho no campo desde criança’.

6 If someone asks him, ‘What are these wounds on your chest?’ he will answer, ‘These are the wounds I received in the house of my friends.’

6 E, se alguém lhe perguntar: ‘E onde você arranjou essas cicatrizes no peito e nas costas?’, ele responderá: ‘É que eu me meti numa briga na casa de uns amigos!’

7 Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, against the man who is My Companion, declares the LORD of Hosts. Strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn My hand against the little ones.

7 “Acorde, ó espada, ataque o meu pastor, o homem que é o meu companheiro”, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. “Fira o pastor, e as ovelhas se espalharão, mas eu voltarei para cuidar das pequeninas e consolá-las.

8 And in all the land, declares the LORD, two-thirds will be cut off and perish, but a third will be left in it.

8 Dois terços do povo de Israel serão mortos, mas sobrará um terço sobre a terra”, diz o Senhor.

9 This third I will bring through the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are My people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.’”

9 “Eu farei essa terça parte passar pelo fogo e a purificarei, como o ouro e a prata que são purificados pelo fogo. Eles confiarão em mim e invocarão o meu nome. Eu os ouvirei e direi: ‘Vocês são o meu povo’, e eles dirão: ‘O Senhor é nosso Deus’.”
