1 Chronicles 24

1 These were the divisions of the descendants of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

1 Quanto aos sacerdotes, os filhos de Arão, eles foram assim divididos: Os filhos de Arão foram Nadabe, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.

2 Mas Nadabe e Abiú morreram antes de seu pai e não tinham filhos. Somente Eleazar e Itamar serviram como sacerdotes.

3 With the help of Eleazar’s descendant Zadok and Ithamar’s descendant Ahimelech, David divided them according to the offices of their service.

3 Com a ajuda de Zadoque, descendente de Eleazar, e de Aimeleque, descendente de Itamar, Davi dividiu os filhos de Arão em grupos, para servirem em várias ocasiões.

4 Since more leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than those of Ithamar, they were divided accordingly. There were sixteen heads of families from the descendants of Eleazar and eight from the descendants of Ithamar.

4 Os filhos de Eleazar foram divididos em dezesseis grupos e os filhos de Itamar em oito grupos, porque dentre os filhos de Eleazar havia mais homens que podiam chefiar.

5 Thus they were divided by lot, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God among both Eleazar’s and Ithamar’s descendants.

5 Cada grupo recebia a sua tarefa de maneira imparcial, por sorteio, para que não houvesse nenhuma preferência, pois em cada grupo havia líderes do santuário e líderes de Deus tanto entre os descendentes de Eleazar como entre os descendentes de Itamar.

6 The scribe, Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded their names in the presence of the king and of the officers: Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the heads of families of the priests and the Levites—one family being taken from Eleazar, and then one from Ithamar.

6 O escriba Semaías, filho do levita Natanael, o secretário, registrou os nomes e as tarefas na presença do rei e dos líderes, do sacerdote Zadoque e Aimeleque, filho de Abiatar, e dos chefes dos sacerdotes e dos levitas. As famílias de Eleazar e de Itamar ficavam com a responsabilidade das tarefas alternadamente. O trabalho foi indicado por sorteio na seguinte ordem:

7 The first lot fell to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

10 o sétimo para Hacoz, o oitavo para Abias,

11 the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

11 o nono para Jesua, o décimo para Secanias,

12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,

15 o décimo sétimo para Hezir, o décimo oitavo para Hapizez,

16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,

16 o décimo nono para Petaías, o vigésimo para Jeezquel,

17 the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,

17 o vigésimo primeiro para Jaquim, o vigésimo segundo para Gamul,

18 the twenty-third to Delaiah, and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.

18 o vigésimo terceiro para Delaías, o vigésimo quarto para Maazias.

19 This was their appointed order for service when they entered the house of the LORD, according to the regulations prescribed for them by their forefather Aaron, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

19 Cada grupo fazia as tarefas do templo do Senhor conforme as descrições deixadas pelo Senhor, o Deus de Israel, por intermédio de Arão, o antepassado dessas famílias.

20 Now these were the rest of the descendants of Levi: From the sons of Amram: Shubael; from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.

20 Estes foram os outros chefes das famílias de Levi: dos descendentes de Anrão: Subael; dos descendentes de Subael: Jedias.

21 As for Rehabiah, from his sons: The first was Isshiah.

21 O grupo de Reabias foi chefiado por seu filho mais velho, Issias.

22 From the Izharites: Shelomoth; from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.

22 O grupo de Jizar, formado por Selemote e por seu filho Taate.

23 From the sons of Hebron: Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

24 From the sons of Uzziel: Micah; from the sons of Micah: Shamir.

24 Dos filhos de Uziel, Mica; dos filhos de Mica, Samir.

25 The brother of Micah: Isshiah; from the sons of Isshiah: Zechariah.

25 O irmão de Mica, Issias; dos filhos de Issias, Zacarias.

26 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The son of Jaaziah: Beno.

26 Dos filhos de Merari, Mali e Musi; dos filhos de Jaazias, Beno.

27 The descendants of Merari from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

27 Dos filhos de Merari, de Jaazias: Beno, Soão, Zacur e Ibri.

28 From Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

28 Dos filhos de Mali, Eleazar, que não teve filhos.

29 From Kish: Jerahmeel the son of Kish.

29 De Quis, o filho Jerameel.

30 And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites, according to their families.

30 Dos filhos de Musi, Mali, Éder e Jerimote. Esses foram os filhos de Levi, de acordo com as várias famílias a que eles pertenciam.

31 As their brothers the descendants of Aaron did, they also cast lots in the presence of King David and of Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the families of the priests and Levites—the family heads and their younger brothers alike.

31 Da mesma maneira que os filhos de Arão, eles receberam as suas tarefas por sorteio, sem ter preferência de idade. O sorteio foi feito na presença do rei Davi, de Zadoque, Aimeleque e dos chefes dos sacerdotes e levitas.
