| BSB 1 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, | SVD 1 وَفِي ٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلثَّالِثِ كَانَ عُرْسٌ فِي قَانَا ٱلْجَلِيلِ، وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ يَسُوعَ هُنَاكَ. |

| BSB 6 Now six stone water jars had been set there for the Jewish rites of purification. Each could hold from twenty to thirty gallons. | SVD 6 وَكَانَتْ سِتَّةُ أَجْرَانٍ مِنْ حِجَارَةٍ مَوْضُوعَةً هُنَاكَ، حَسَبَ تَطْهِيرِ ٱلْيَهُودِ، يَسَعُ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِطْرَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةً. |
| BSB 7 Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim. | SVD 7 قَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «ٱمْلَأُوا ٱلْأَجْرَانَ مَاءً». فَمَلَأُوهَا إِلَى فَوْقُ. |
| BSB 8 “Now draw some out,” He said, “and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, | SVD 8 ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمُ: «ٱسْتَقُوا ٱلْآنَ وَقَدِّمُوا إِلَى رَئِيسِ ٱلْمُتَّكَإِ». فَقَدَّمُوا. |
| BSB 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not know where it was from, but the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside | SVD 9 فَلَمَّا ذَاقَ رَئِيسُ ٱلْمُتَّكَإِ ٱلْمَاءَ ٱلْمُتَحَوِّلَ خَمْرًا، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يَعْلَمُ مِنْ أَيْنَ هِيَ، لَكِنَّ ٱلْخُدَّامَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا قَدِ ٱسْتَقَوْا ٱلْمَاءَ عَلِمُوا، دَعَا رَئِيسُ ٱلْمُتَّكَإِ ٱلْعَرِيسَ |
| BSB 10 and said, “Everyone serves the fine wine first, and then the cheap wine after the guests are drunk. But you have saved the fine wine until now!” | SVD 10 وَقَالَ لَهُ: «كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ إِنَّمَا يَضَعُ ٱلْخَمْرَ ٱلْجَيِّدَةَ أَوَّلًا، وَمَتَى سَكِرُوا فَحِينَئِذٍ ٱلدُّونَ. أَمَّا أَنْتَ فَقَدْ أَبْقَيْتَ ٱلْخَمْرَ ٱلْجَيِّدَةَ إِلَى ٱلْآنَ!». |

| BSB 12 After this, He went down to Capernaum with His mother and brothers and His disciples, and they stayed there a few days. | SVD 12 وَبَعْدَ هَذَا ٱنْحَدَرَ إِلَى كَفْرِنَاحُومَ، هُوَ وَأُمُّهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ وَتَلَامِيذُهُ، وَأَقَامُوا هُنَاكَ أَيَّامًا لَيْسَتْ كَثِيرَةً. |
| BSB 13 When the Jewish Passover was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. | SVD 13 وَكَانَ فِصْحُ ٱلْيَهُودِ قَرِيبًا، فَصَعِدَ يَسُوعُ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ، |
| BSB 14 In the temple courts He found men selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and money changers seated at their tables. | SVD 14 وَوَجَدَ فِي ٱلْهَيْكَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا يَبِيعُونَ بَقَرًا وَغَنَمًا وَحَمَامًا، وَٱلصَّيَارِفَ جُلُوسًا. |
| BSB 15 So He made a whip out of cords and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle. He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. | SVD 15 فَصَنَعَ سَوْطًا مِنْ حِبَالٍ وَطَرَدَ ٱلْجَمِيعَ مِنَ ٱلْهَيْكَلِ، اَلْغَنَمَ وَٱلْبَقَرَ، وَكَبَّ دَرَاهِمَ ٱلصَّيَارِفِ وَقَلَّبَ مَوَائِدَهُمْ. |
| BSB 16 To those selling doves He said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn My Father’s house into a marketplace!” | SVD 16 وَقَالَ لِبَاعَةِ ٱلْحَمَامِ: «ٱرْفَعُوا هَذِهِ مِنْ هَهُنَا! لَا تَجْعَلُوا بَيْتَ أَبِي بَيْتَ تِجَارَةٍ!». |
| BSB 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for Your house will consume Me.” | SVD 17 فَتَذَكَّرَ تَلَامِيذُهُ أَنَّهُ مَكْتُوبٌ: «غَيْرَةُ بَيْتِكَ أَكَلَتْنِي». |
| BSB 18 On account of this, the Jews demanded, “What sign can You show us to prove Your authority to do these things?” | SVD 18 فَأَجَابَ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَقَالوُا لَهُ: «أَيَّةَ آيَةٍ تُرِينَا حَتَّى تَفْعَلَ هَذَا؟». |
| BSB 19 Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again.” | SVD 19 أَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «ٱنْقُضُوا هَذَا ٱلْهَيْكَلَ، وَفِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ أُقِيمُهُ». |
| BSB 20 “This temple took forty-six years to build,” the Jews replied, “and You are going to raise it up in three days?” | SVD 20 فَقَالَ ٱلْيَهُودُ: «فِي سِتٍّ وَأَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً بُنِيَ هَذَا ٱلْهَيْكَلُ، أَفَأَنْتَ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ تُقِيمُهُ؟». |
| BSB 21 But Jesus was speaking about the temple of His body. | SVD 21 وَأَمَّا هُوَ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ عَنْ هَيْكَلِ جَسَدِهِ. |
| BSB 22 After He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this. Then they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken. | SVD 22 فَلَمَّا قَامَ مِنَ ٱلْأَمْوَاتِ، تَذَكَّرَ تَلَامِيذُهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ هَذَا، فَآمَنُوا بِٱلْكِتَابِ وَٱلْكَلَامِ ٱلَّذِي قَالَهُ يَسُوعُ. |
| BSB 23 While He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the signs He was doing and believed in His name. | SVD 23 وَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي أُورُشَلِيمَ فِي عِيدِ ٱلْفِصْحِ، آمَنَ كَثِيرُونَ بِٱسْمِهِ، إِذْ رَأَوْا ٱلْآيَاتِ ٱلَّتِي صَنَعَ. |
| BSB 24 But Jesus did not entrust Himself to them, for He knew them all. | SVD 24 لَكِنَّ يَسُوعَ لَمْ يَأْتَمِنْهُمْ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ، لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَعْرِفُ ٱلْجَمِيعَ. |
| BSB 25 He did not need any testimony about man, for He knew what was in a man. | SVD 25 وَلِأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ مُحْتَاجًا أَنْ يَشْهَدَ أَحَدٌ عَنِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ، لِأَنَّهُ عَلِمَ مَا كَانَ فِي ٱلْإِنْسَانِ. |
