Malachi 4

1 “For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble; the day is coming when I will set them ablaze,” says the LORD of Hosts. “Not a root or branch will be left to them.”

1 “Atenção”, proclama o Senhor dos Exércitos, “o dia do julgamento se aproxima, queimando como uma fornalha. Os orgulhosos e os maus serão queimados como palha. Serão completamente destruídos, como uma árvore queimada das raízes até os ramos”.

2 “But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and leap like calves from the stall.

2 “Mas para vocês, os que me obedecem, nascerá o sol da justiça, trazendo cura em seus raios. Vocês serão curados e saltarão de alegria, como bezerros soltos no pasto.

3 Then you will trample the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day I am preparing,” says the LORD of Hosts.

3 E pisarão os perversos como se eles fossem cinza debaixo dos seus pés”, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.

4 “Remember the law of My servant Moses, the statutes and ordinances I commanded him for all Israel at Horeb.

4 “Lembrem de obedecer às leis que eu dei a todo o povo de Israel por meio de Moisés, meu servo, no monte Horebe.

5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome Day of the LORD.

5 “E eu enviarei a vocês o profeta Elias, antes da vinda do grande e terrível dia do julgamento do Senhor.

6 And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

6 A pregação desse profeta fará os pais e os filhos se unirem de coração novamente; e todos saberão que, se não se arrependerem, eu virei e castigarei a terra com maldição”.
