Numbers 4

1 Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

1 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés e a Arão:

2 “Take a census of the Kohathites among the Levites by their clans and families,

2 “Façam um recenseamento dos coatitas, por grupo de famílias e por famílias da tribo de Levi.

3 men from thirty to fifty years old—everyone who is qualified to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

3 Contem todos os homens que têm entre trinta e cinquenta anos de idade, capazes de fazer o serviço do Tabernáculo.

4 This service of the Kohathites at the Tent of Meeting regards the most holy things.

4 “O serviço dos coatitas no Tabernáculo é cuidar das coisas muito sagradas.

5 Whenever the camp sets out, Aaron and his sons are to go in, take down the veil of the curtain, and cover the ark of the Testimony with it.

5 Quando o acampamento for desarmado, Arão e seus filhos entrarão primeiro no Tabernáculo para tirar o véu protetor e com ele cobrirão a arca da aliança.

6 They are to place over this a covering of fine leather, spread a solid blue cloth over it, and insert its poles.

6 Então eles cobrirão a arca com couro, cobrirão o couro com um pano azul e colocarão as varas de carregar nas argolas da arca.

7 Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and place the plates and cups on it, along with the bowls and pitchers for the drink offering. The regular bread offering is to remain on it.

7 “A seguir, devem colocar um pano azul sobre a mesa onde ficam os pães da Presença e colocarão os pratos, as taças de incenso, as taças das ofertas, os jarros para as ofertas de bebida e os pães da Presença sobre esse pano.

8 And they shall spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover them with fine leather, and insert the poles.

8 Depois colocarão sobre tudo isso um pano vermelho, e finalmente o cobrirão com uma coberta de couro. Depois colocarão as varas nas argolas da mesa.

9 They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand used for light, together with its lamps, wick trimmers, and trays, as well as the jars of oil with which to supply it.

9 “Em seguida pegarão um pano azul e cobrirão o candelabro, as lâmpadas, as tesouras de cortar os pavios das lâmpadas, os seus apagadores e todos os jarros necessários para o suprimento de azeite.

10 Then they shall wrap it and all its utensils inside a covering of fine leather and put it on the carrying frame.

10 Então cobrirão tudo isso com uma coberta de couro e colocarão estes objetos sobre as varas para carregar.

11 Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth, cover it with fine leather, and insert the poles.

11 “Eles cobrirão o altar de ouro com um pano azul e por cima colocarão uma coberta de couro. Depois colocarão os cabos nas argolas do altar.

12 They are to take all the utensils for serving in the sanctuary, place them in a blue cloth, cover them with fine leather, and put them on the carrying frame.

12 “Eles embrulharão todos os outros utensílios usados na ministração no Tabernáculo com um pano azul e os cobrirão com uma coberta de couro, e colocarão tudo isso sobre as varas de carregar.

13 Then they shall remove the ashes from the bronze altar, spread a purple cloth over it,

13 “Eles tirarão a cinza do altar de bronze e estenderão por cima dele um pano vermelho.

14 and place on it all the vessels used to serve there: the firepans, meat forks, shovels, and sprinkling bowls—all the equipment of the altar. They are to spread over it a covering of fine leather and insert the poles.

14 Colocarão sobre ele todos os utensílios usados na ministração do altar: os braseiros, os garfos, as pás e as bacias, e todos os utensílios do altar; e sobre tudo isso estenderão uma coberta de couro. Então colocarão as varas de carregar nas argolas do altar.

15 When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all their equipment, as soon as the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites shall come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy objects, or they will die. These are the transportation duties of the Kohathites regarding the Tent of Meeting.

15 “Quando Arão e seus filhos terminarem de desmontar o santuário e os utensílios do santuário, os coatitas deverão carregá-los durante a viagem. Mas não tocarão nos utensílios sagrados. Se o fizerem, morrerão. São esses os utensílios do Tabernáculo que os coatitas devem levar.

16 Eleazar son of Aaron the priest shall oversee the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the daily grain offering, and the anointing oil. He has oversight of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including the holy objects and their utensils.”

16 “Eleazar, filho do sacerdote Arão, deve tomar conta do azeite para as lâmpadas do incenso aromático, da oferta diária de cereais e do óleo da unção. Ele ficará responsável por tomar conta de todo o Tabernáculo e por tudo o que nele há, ou seja, os seus utensílios e acessórios”.

17 Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

17 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés e a Arão:

18 “Do not allow the Kohathite tribal clans to be cut off from among the Levites.

18 “Não deixem que as famílias dos coatitas desapareçam entre os levitas.

19 In order that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go in and assign each man his task and what he is to carry.

19 Vocês devem fazer o seguinte para que os coatitas não morram quando forem carregar as coisas sagradas: Arão e seus filhos entrarão no santuário e designarão a cada coatita o que deve carregar.

20 But the Kohathites are not to go in and look at the holy objects, even for a moment, or they will die.”

20 Os coatitas nunca devem entrar no santuário nem ver as coisas sagradas. Se eles desobedecerem, morrerão”.

21 And the LORD said to Moses,

21 E o Senhor disse a Moisés:

22 “Take a census of the Gershonites as well, by their families and clans,

22 “Faça também um recenseamento dos gersonitas, por grupos de famílias e por famílias;

23 from thirty to fifty years old, counting everyone who comes to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

23 conte todos os homens que têm entre trinta e cinquenta anos de idade, e que são capazes de fazer o trabalho sagrado do Tabernáculo.

24 This is the service of the Gershonite clans regarding work and transport:

24 “Os deveres dos gersonitas serão os seguintes:

25 They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting with the covering of fine leather over it, the curtains for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,

25 Eles devem carregar as cortinas do Tabernáculo, o próprio Tabernáculo, a sua cobertura de couro de cabra e as cortinas da entrada do Tabernáculo.

26 the curtains of the courtyard, and the curtains for the entrance at the gate of the courtyard that surrounds the tabernacle and altar, along with their ropes and all the equipment for their service. The Gershonites will do all that needs to be done with these items.

26 Devem carregar também as cortinas externas do pátio que cercam o Tabernáculo, o altar, a cortina da entrada e as suas cordas com todos os utensílios usados em seu serviço.

27 All the service of the Gershonites—all their transport duties and other work—is to be done at the direction of Aaron and his sons; you are to assign to them all that they are responsible to carry.

27 Arão e seus filhos darão as ordens aos gersonitas a respeito do serviço deles, e tudo o que devem fazer e carregar.

28 This is the service of the Gershonite clans at the Tent of Meeting, and their duties shall be under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.

28 Este é o serviço do grupo de famílias dos gersonitas no Tabernáculo; Itamar, filho do sacerdote Arão, será responsável pela supervisão de suas atividades.

29 As for the sons of Merari, you are to number them by their clans and families,

29 “Depois faça uma contagem dos meraritas por grupo de famílias e por famílias,

30 from thirty to fifty years old, counting everyone who comes to serve in the work of the Tent of Meeting.

30 de todos os homens entre trinta e cinquenta anos, capazes de fazer algum trabalho no Tabernáculo.

31 This is the duty for all their service at the Tent of Meeting: to carry the frames of the tabernacle with its crossbars, posts, and bases,

31 Esta é a tarefa deles, de acordo com todo o serviço no Tabernáculo: levar as armações do Tabernáculo, seus travessões, suas colunas e suas bases;

32 and the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes, including all their equipment and everything related to their use. You shall assign by name the items that they are responsible to carry.

33 This is the service of the Merarite clans according to all their work at the Tent of Meeting, under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.”

33 Esse é o serviço do grupo de famílias dos meraritas no Tabernáculo. Itamar, filho do sacerdote Arão, será o responsável pela supervisão dos meraritas”.

34 So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of the congregation numbered the Kohathites by their clans and families,

34 Moisés, Arão e os líderes do povo fizeram a contagem dos coatitas, conforme seus grupos de famílias e suas famílias,

35 everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

36 And those numbered by their clans totaled 2,750.

36 O total dos coatitas contados, conforme as suas famílias, foi de 2.750 homens.

37 These were counted from the Kohathite clans, everyone who could serve at the Tent of Meeting. Moses and Aaron numbered them according to the command of the LORD through Moses.

37 Esse foi o total de recenseados das famílias dos coatitas contados por Moisés e Arão, que serviam no Tabernáculo, para obedecer às ordens que o Senhor deu a Moisés.

38 Then the Gershonites were numbered by their clans and families,

38 Os gersonitas foram contados conforme seus grupos de famílias e suas famílias,

39 everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

39 de todos os homens entre trinta e cinquenta anos de idade e que fossem capazes de fazer algum serviço no Tabernáculo.

40 And those numbered by their clans and families totaled 2,630.

40 O total de gersonitas contados, conforme os grupos de famílias e as famílias, foi de 2.630 homens.

41 These were counted from the Gershonite clans who served at the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted at the LORD’s command.

41 Esse foi o total de recenseados das famílias dos gersonitas contados por Moisés e Arão, que serviam no Tabernáculo, para obedecer às ordens que o Senhor deu a Moisés.

42 And the Merarites were numbered by their clans and families,

42 Os meraritas foram contados conforme seus grupos de famílias e suas famílias,

43 everyone from thirty to fifty years old who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.

43 de todos os homens entre trinta e cinquenta anos de idade, que fossem capazes de fazer algum serviço no Tabernáculo.

44 The men registered by their clans numbered 3,200.

44 O total de meraritas contados, conforme os grupos de famílias, foi de 3.200 homens.

45 These were counted from the Merarite clans, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the LORD’s command through Moses.

45 Esse foi o total de recenseados das famílias dos meraritas contados por Moisés e Arão, que serviam no Tabernáculo, para obedecer às ordens que o Senhor deu a Moisés.

46 So Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of Israel numbered by their clans and families all the Levites

46 Assim Moisés, Arão e os líderes de Israel chegaram à contagem final dos levitas, conforme os grupos de famílias e as famílias;

47 from thirty to fifty years old who came to do the work of serving and carrying the Tent of Meeting.

47 todos os levitas entre trinta e cinquenta anos de idade, capazes de fazer algum serviço no Tabernáculo,

48 And the number of men was 8,580.

48 totalizaram 8.580 homens.

49 At the LORD’s command through Moses they were numbered, and each one was assigned his work and burden, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

49 Fizeram a designação dos serviços e das cargas de cada um, conforme o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés. Assim foram contados, de acordo com as ordens que o Senhor tinha dado a Moisés.
