Psalms 110

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

1 O Senhor disse ao meu Senhor: “Sente-se em seu trono à minha direita. Eu derrotarei todos os seus inimigos, e eles serão humilhados diante de você”.

2 The LORD extends Your mighty scepter from Zion: “Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

2 O Senhor dará o cetro do seu poder começando por Sião e dirá: “Domine no meio dos seus inimigos!”

3 Your people shall be willing on Your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, to You belongs the dew of Your youth.

3 Quando o rei revelar todo o seu poder, o povo se apresentará de livre vontade para servi-lo. Os jovens, vestidos com roupas sagradas, são tantos que parecem as gotas de orvalho brilhando quando o sol nasce.

4 The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

4 O Senhor jurou e não voltará atrás: “Você é sacerdote para sempre! Foi escolhido por Deus, da ordem do sacerdócio de Melquisedeque”.

5 The Lord is at Your right hand; He will crush kings in the day of His wrath.

5 O Senhor está à sua direita; ele destruirá os reis no dia da sua ira.

6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead; He will crush the leaders far and wide.

6 Ele julgará e castigará as nações, enchendo a terra de mortos; esmagará a cabeça de governantes em toda a extensão da terra.

7 He will drink from the brook by the road; therefore He will lift up His head.

7 Na sua marcha, o rei renovará suas forças bebendo água dos riachos, e passará de cabeça erguida.
