Psalms 122

1 A song of ascents. Of David. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”

1 Me alegré mucho cuando me dijeron: «Vamos a la casa del Señor».

2 Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem.

2 Hemos llegado, Jerusalén. ¡Ya estamos dentro de tus muros!

3 Jerusalem is built up as a city united together,

3 Jerusalén, ciudad que estás bien edificada, bien unida entre sí.

4 where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.

4 Todo el pueblo de Israel, el pueblo del Señor, sube aquí. Vienen para alabar el nombre del Señor como la ley lo ordena.

5 For there the thrones of judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David.

5 Aquí están los tronos de justicia, los tronos de la dinastía de David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you prosper.

6 Pidamos por la paz de Jerusalén: «Que vivan en paz los que te aman.

7 May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity inside your fortresses.”

7 Que reine la paz dentro de tus muros y la prosperidad en tus palacios».

8 For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.”

8 Por causa de mi familia y amigos, yo diré: «Deseo que tengas paz».

9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.

9 Por la casa del Señor nuestro Dios procuraré tu bienestar.
