Psalms 148

1 Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the highest places.

1 Halleluja! Lobet im Himmel den HERRN; lobet ihn in der Höhe!

2 Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.

2 Lobet ihn, alle seine Engel; lobet ihn, all sein Heer!

3 Praise Him, O sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars.

3 Lobet ihn, Sonne und Mond; lobet ihn, alle leuchtenden Sterne!

4 Praise Him, O highest heavens, and you waters above the skies.

4 Lobet ihn, ihr Himmel allenthalben und die Wasser, die oben am Himmel sind!

5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He gave the command and they were created.

5 Die sollen loben den Namen des HERRN; denn er gebot, da wurden sie geschaffen.

6 He established them forever and ever; He issued a decree that will never pass away.

6 Er hält sie immer und ewiglich; er ordnet sie, daß sie nicht anders gehen dürfen.

7 Praise the LORD from the earth, all great sea creatures and ocean depths,

7 Lobet den HERRN auf Erden, ihr Walfische und alle Tiefen;

8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds, powerful wind fulfilling His word,

8 Feuer, Hagel, Schnee und Dampf, Strumwinde, die sein Wort ausrichten;

9 mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,

9 Berge und alle Hügel, fruchtbare Bäume und alle Zedern;

10 wild animals and all cattle, crawling creatures and flying birds,

10 Tiere und alles Vieh, Gewürm und Vögel;

11 kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth,

11 ihr Könige auf Erden und alle Völker, Fürsten und alle Richter auf Erden;

12 young men and maidens, old and young together.

12 Jünglinge und Jungfrauen, Alte mit den Jungen!

13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor is above the earth and the heavens.

13 Die sollen loben den Namen des HERRN; denn sein Name allein ist hoch, sein Lob geht, soweit Himmel und Erde ist.

14 He has raised up a horn for His people, the praise of all His saints, of Israel, a people near to Him. Hallelujah!

14 Und erhöht das Horn seines Volkes. Alle Heiligen sollen loben, die Kinder Israel, das Volk, das ihm dient. Halleluja!
