Psalms 47

1 For the choirmaster. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout unto God with a voice of triumph.

1 Batam palmas, vocês, todos os povos! Louvem a Deus cantando e gritando de alegria,

2 How awesome is the LORD Most High, the great King over all the earth!

2 pois o Senhor Altíssimo é muito poderoso. Ele é o Rei de toda a terra!

3 He subdues nations beneath us, and peoples under our feet.

3 Ele derrotou nossos inimigos e colocou outras nações debaixo dos nossos pés.

4 He chooses our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom He loves. Selah

4 Ele preparou esta terra para ser a nossa herança, a glória dos descendentes de Jacó, a quem ele ama.

5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the LORD with the sound of the horn.

5 Deus, o Senhor, subiu entre gritos de alegria, ao som de trombetas.

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises!

6 Cantem salmos para louvar a Deus! Cantem salmos para louvar o nosso Rei.

7 For God is King of all the earth; sing to Him a psalm of praise.

7 Deus é o Rei de toda a terra; cantem com perfeição e beleza os seus louvores!

8 God reigns over the nations; God is seated on His holy throne.

8 Assentado em seu santo trono, Deus reina sobre todas as nações.

9 The nobles of the nations have assembled as the people of the God of Abraham; for the shields of the earth belong to God; He is highly exalted.

9 Os líderes dos povos se juntam ao povo do Deus de Abraão, pois eles entregarão ao Senhor toda a sua autoridade, e ele será honrado soberanamente em toda a terra.
