Psalms 82

1 A Psalm of Asaph. God presides in the divine assembly; He renders judgment among the gods:

1 ٱللهُ قَائِمٌ فِي مَجْمَعِ ٱللهِ. فِي وَسْطِ ٱلْآلِهَةِ يَقْضِي:

2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah

2 «حَتَّى مَتَى تَقْضُونَ جَوْرًا وَتَرْفَعُونَ وُجُوهَ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ؟ سِلَاهْ.

3 Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; uphold the rights of the afflicted and oppressed.

3 اِقْضُوا لِلذَّلِيلِ وَلِلْيَتِيمِ. أَنْصِفُوا ٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱلْبَائِسَ.

4 Rescue the weak and needy; save them from the hand of the wicked.

4 نَجُّوا ٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱلْفَقِيرَ. مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ أَنْقِذُوا.

5 They do not know or understand; they wander in the darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

5 «لَا يَعْلَمُونَ وَلَا يَفْهَمُونَ. فِي ٱلظُّلْمَةِ يَتَمَشَّوْنَ. تَتَزَعْزَعُ كُلُّ أُسُسِ ٱلْأَرْضِ.

6 I have said, ‘You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High.’

6 أَنَا قُلْتُ: إِنَّكُمْ آلِهَةٌ وَبَنُو ٱلْعَلِيِّ كُلُّكُمْ.

7 But like mortals you will die, and like rulers you will fall.”

7 لَكِنْ مِثْلَ ٱلنَّاسِ تَمُوتُونَ وَكَأَحَدِ ٱلرُّؤَسَاءِ تَسْقُطُونَ».

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are Your inheritance.

8 قُمْ يَا ٱللهُ. دِنِ ٱلْأَرْضَ، لِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ تَمْتَلِكُ كُلَّ ٱلْأُمَمِ.
