Psalms 87

1 A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A song. He has founded His city on the holy mountains.

1 Colocada pelo Senhor no alto de seu santo monte, lá está a cidade de Jerusalém,

2 The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

2 a cidade que o Senhor mais ama entre todas as habitações de Jacó!

3 Glorious things are ascribed to you, O city of God. Selah

3 Quantas maravilhas se contam a seu respeito, ó cidade de Deus!

4 “I will mention Rahab and Babylon among those who know Me—along with Philistia, Tyre, and Cush—when I say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’”

4 O Senhor diz: “Entre os que me reconhecem vou incluir Raabe e Babilônia, além da Filístia, de Tiro e da distante Etiópia, como se tivessem nascido em Sião”.

5 And it will be said of Zion: “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High Himself will establish her.”

5 A respeito de Sião as pessoas dirão: “Todos estes nasceram em Sião, e o próprio Altíssimo fará dela uma cidade segura e feliz”.

6 The LORD will record in the register of the peoples: “This one was born in Zion.” Selah

6 Quando o Senhor registrar os habitantes da terra, escreverá ao lado de alguns nomes: “Nascido em Jerusalém”.

7 Singers and pipers will proclaim, “All my springs of joy are in You.”

7 E nos momentos de alegria, dançarão ao som da canção que diz: “Sião é a fonte da nossa alegria e esperança!”
