Psalms 97

1 The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the distant shores be glad.

1 ¡El Señor es rey! ¡Regocíjese la tierra entera! Que las más lejanas islas se alegren.

2 Clouds and darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are His throne’s foundation.

2 Rodeado está de nubes y tinieblas. Rectitud y justicia son el fundamento de su trono.

3 Fire goes before Him and consumes His foes on every side.

3 El fuego va delante de él y consume a todos sus enemigos.

4 His lightning illuminates the world; the earth sees and trembles.

4 Su relámpago ilumina todo el mundo. Lo ve la tierra y tiembla.

5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.

5 Las montañas se funden como cera delante del Señor, dueño de toda la tierra.

6 The heavens proclaim His righteousness; all the peoples see His glory.

6 Los cielos declaran su justicia; todas las naciones contemplan su gloria.

7 All worshipers of images are put to shame—those who boast in idols. Worship Him, all you gods!

7 Sean avergonzados los adoradores de ídolos, todos los que presumen de sus inútiles dioses, porque todo dios tiene que inclinarse ante él.

8 Zion hears and rejoices, and the towns of Judah exult because of Your judgments, O LORD.

8 Sion y todas las ciudades de Judá han oído de tu justicia, Señor, y se alegran.

9 For You, O LORD, are Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

9 Porque tú eres el Señor Altísimo, por encima de todos los dioses.

10 Hate evil, O you who love the LORD! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

10 El Señor ama a quienes odian el mal; él protege la vida de sus fieles, y los libra de los malvados.

11 Light shines on the righteous, gladness on the upright in heart.

11 La luz resplandece sobre los justos y la alegría sobre los que hacen lo recto.

12 Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones, and praise His holy name.

12 Sean felices en el Señor todos los justos y alaben su santo nombre.
