Psalms 99

1 The LORD reigns; let the nations tremble! He is enthroned above the cherubim; let the earth quake!

1 O Senhor reina! As nações tremem! O seu trono é sustentado pelos querubins; a terra será abalada!

2 Great is the LORD in Zion; He is exalted above all the peoples.

2 Grande é o Senhor em Sião! Ele é exaltado acima de todas as nações!

3 Let them praise Your great and awesome name—He is holy!

3 Que as nações louvem o seu grande e poderoso nome, que é santo!

4 The mighty King loves justice. You have established equity; You have exercised justice and righteousness in Jacob.

4 Como Rei poderoso ele ama a justiça e estabelece o direito, a honestidade e a verdade por todo o Israel.

5 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His footstool; He is holy!

5 Proclamem a grandeza do Senhor, o nosso Deus! Ele é santo, e por isso devemos nos curvar até o chão diante dele.

6 Moses and Aaron were among His priests; Samuel was among those who called on His name. They called to the LORD and He answered.

6 Moisés e Arão eram sacerdotes, representantes do povo diante de Deus; entre os profetas, Samuel invocava o seu nome.

7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept His decrees and the statutes He gave them.

7 O Senhor lhes falava da coluna de nuvem, e eles obedeciam aos seus mandamentos e às ordens que ele lhes dava.

8 O LORD our God, You answered them. You were a forgiving God to them, yet an avenger of their misdeeds.

8 O Senhor, o nosso Deus, respondeu aos pedidos que esses homens fizeram em favor do povo; perdoou os pecados do povo, mas nunca deixou de dar o castigo merecido pela sua desobediência.

9 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy.

9 Levantem bem alto o nome do Senhor, o nosso Deus! Curvem-se diante do seu santo monte, porque o Senhor, o nosso Deus é santo!
