Romans 6

1 What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase?

1 तो फिर हम क्या कहें? क्या हम पाप करते जाएं कि अनुग्रह बहुत होता जाए?

2 Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?

2 नहीं! बिलकुल नहीं! यह कैसे संभव है कि हम, जो पाप के प्रति मर चुके हैं, उसी में जीते रहें?

3 Or aren’t you aware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

3 कहीं तुम इस सच्चाई से अनजान तो नहीं कि हम सभी, जो मसीह येशु में बपतिस्मा ले चुके हैं, उनकी मृत्यु में बपतिस्मा लिए हुए हैं?

4 We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.

4 इसलिये मृत्यु के बपतिस्मा में हम उनके साथ दफनाए जा चुके हैं कि जिस प्रकार मसीह येशु पिता के प्रताप में मरे हुओं में से जीवित किए गए, हम भी जीवन की नवीनता में व्यवहार करें.

5 For if we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection.

5 यदि हम मसीह येशु की मृत्यु की समानता में उनके साथ जोड़े गए हैं तो निश्चित ही हम उनके पुनरुत्थान की समानता में भी उनके साथ जोड़े जाएंगे.

6 We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.

6 हमें यह मालूम है कि हमारा पहले का मनुष्यत्व मसीह येशु के साथ ही क्रूसित हो गया था कि हमारे पाप का शरीर निर्बल हो जाए और इसके बाद हम पाप के दास न रहें

7 For anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

7 क्योंकि जिसकी मृत्यु हो चुकी, वह पाप की अधीनता से मुक्त हो चुका.

8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him.

8 अब, यदि मसीह येशु के साथ हमारी मृत्यु हो चुकी है, हमारा विश्वास है कि हम उनके साथ जीवित भी रहेंगे.

9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, He cannot die again; death no longer has dominion over Him.

9 हम यह जानते हैं कि मरे हुओं में से जीवित मसीह येशु की मृत्यु अब कभी नहीं होगी; उन पर मृत्यु का अधिकार नहीं रहा.

10 The death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God.

10 उनकी यह मृत्यु हमेशा के लिए पाप के प्रति मृत्यु थी. अब उनका जीवन परमेश्वर से जुड़ा हुआ जीवन है.

11 So you too must count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

11 इसलिये तुम भी अपने आपको पाप के प्रति मरा हुआ तथा मसीह येशु में परमेश्वर के प्रति जीवित समझो.

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires.

12 अतःएव तुम अपने मरणशील शरीर में पाप का शासन न रहने दो कि उसकी लालसाओं के प्रति समर्पण करो.

13 Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and present the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.

13 अपने शरीर के अंगों को पाप के लिए अधर्म के साधन के रूप में प्रस्तुत न करते जाओ परंतु स्वयं को मरे हुओं में से जीवितों के समान परमेश्वर के सामने प्रस्तुत करो तथा अपने शरीर के अंगों को परमेश्वर के लिए धार्मिकता के साधन के रूप में प्रस्तुत करो.

14 For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

14 पाप की तुम पर प्रभुता नहीं रहेगी क्योंकि तुम व्यवस्था के नहीं परंतु अनुग्रह के अधीन हो.

15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law, but under grace? Certainly not!

15 तो? क्या हम पापमय जीवन में लीन रहें—क्योंकि अब हम व्यवस्था के नहीं परंतु अनुग्रह के अधीन हैं? नहीं! बिलकुल नहीं!

16 Do you not know that when you offer yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin leading to death, or to obedience leading to righteousness?

16 क्या तुम्हें यह अहसास नहीं कि किसी के आज्ञापालन के प्रति समर्पित हो जाने पर तुम उसी के दास बन जाते हो, जिसका तुम आज्ञापालन करते हो? चाहे वह स्वामी पाप हो, जिसका अंत है मृत्यु या आज्ञाकारिता, जिसका अंत है धार्मिकता.

17 But thanks be to God that, though you once were slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were committed.

17 हम परमेश्वर के आभारी हैं कि तुम, जो पाप के दास थे, हृदय से उसी शिक्षा का पालन करने लगे हो, जिसके प्रति तुम समर्पित हुए थे

18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

18 और अब पाप से छुटकारा पाकर तुम धार्मिकता के दास बन गए हो.

19 I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to escalating wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.

19 तुम्हारी शारीरिक दुर्बलताओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए मानवीय दृष्टि से मैं यह कह रहा हूं: जिस प्रकार तुमने अपने अंगों को अशुद्धता और अराजकता के दासत्व के लिए समर्पित कर दिया था, जिसका परिणाम था दिनोंदिन बढ़ती अराजकता; अब तुम अपने अंगों को धार्मिकता के दासत्व के लिए समर्पित कर दो, जिसका परिणाम होगा परमेश्वर के लिए तुम्हारा अलग किया जाना.

20 For when you were slaves to sin, you were free of obligation to righteousness.

20 इसलिये कि जब तुम पाप के दास थे, तो धर्म की ओर से स्वतंत्र थे

21 What fruit did you reap at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? The outcome of those things is death.

21 इसलिये जिनके लिए तुम आज लज्जित हो, उन सारे कामों से तुम्हें कौन सा लाभांश उपलब्ध हुआ? क्योंकि उनका अंत तो मृत्यु है.

22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life.

22 किंतु अब तुम पाप से मुक्त होकर परमेश्वर के दास बनकर वह लाभ कमा रहे हो, जिसका परिणाम है (परमेश्वर के लिए) पवित्र किया जाना और इसका नतीजा है अनंत जीवन.

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

23 क्योंकि पाप की मज़दूरी मृत्यु है, किंतु हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह में परमेश्वर का वरदान अनंत जीवन है.
