1 Chronicles 13

1 Then David conferred with all his leaders, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds.

1 大卫跟千夫长、百夫长等所有的首领商议，

2 And he said to the whole assembly of Israel, “If it seems good to you, and if this is of the LORD our God, let us send word far and wide to the rest of our brothers in all the land of Israel, and also to the priests and Levites in their cities and pasturelands, so that they may join us.

2 然后对以色列全体会众说：“如果你们赞成，而且如果这是我们上帝耶和华的旨意，我们就派人到以色列各地把其他同胞，包括住在城邑及草场的祭司和利未人召集来。

3 Then let us bring back the ark of our God, for we did not inquire of Him in the days of Saul.”

3 我们要将我们上帝的约柜运到这里来，因为在扫罗执政期间，我们没有求问它。”

4 And because this proposal seemed right to all the people, the whole assembly agreed to it.

4 会众都表示赞同，认为这样做很好。

5 So David assembled all Israel, from the River Shihor in Egypt to Lebo-hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.

5 于是，大卫召集了从埃及的西曷河一直到哈马口的全体以色列人，要将上帝的约柜从基列·耶琳运来。

6 David and all Israel went up to Baalah of Judah (that is, Kiriath-jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the LORD, who is enthroned between the cherubim—the ark that is called by the Name.

6 大卫率领以色列众人到巴拉，即犹大的基列·耶琳，要将上帝的约柜运回来。这约柜以坐在基路伯天使上面的耶和华的名字命名。

7 So they carried the ark of God from the house of Abinadab on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding the cart.

7 他们把上帝的约柜从亚比拿达家抬出来，放在一辆新车上，由乌撒和亚希约赶车。

8 David and all the Israelites were celebrating before God with all their might, with songs and on harps and lyres, with tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.

8 大卫和以色列众人就在上帝面前用琴、瑟、鼓、钹和号奏乐，尽情歌舞。

9 When they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark, because the oxen had stumbled.

9 他们到基顿的麦场时，拉车的牛失蹄，乌撒就伸手去扶约柜。

10 And the anger of the LORD burned against Uzzah, and He struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.

10 因他伸手碰了约柜，耶和华便向他发怒，击杀了他，他当场死在上帝面前。

11 Then David became angry because the LORD had burst forth against Uzzah. So he named that place Perez-uzzah, as it is called to this day.

11 大卫因耶和华击杀乌撒而烦恼，就称那地方为毗列斯·乌撒 ，沿用至今。

12 That day David feared God and asked, “How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?”

12 那天，大卫惧怕上帝，他说：“我怎能将上帝的约柜运到我这里？”

13 So he did not move the ark with him to the City of David; instead, he took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

13 因此，大卫没有将约柜运进大卫城，而是把它运到迦特人俄别·以东家。

14 Thus the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house for three months, and the LORD blessed his household and everything he owned.

14 上帝的约柜在俄别·以东家存放了三个月。耶和华使俄别·以东家及其拥有的一切都蒙福。
