1 Chronicles 13

1 Then David conferred with all his leaders, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds.

1 दावीद ने सहस्र पतियों, शतपतियों और हर एक शासक से विचार-विमर्श किया.

2 And he said to the whole assembly of Israel, “If it seems good to you, and if this is of the LORD our God, let us send word far and wide to the rest of our brothers in all the land of Israel, and also to the priests and Levites in their cities and pasturelands, so that they may join us.

2 दावीद ने सारी इस्राएली सभा को कहा, “यदि यह आपको सही लगे, यदि यह याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर की ओर से है, हम हमेशा अपने देशवासियों के लिए, जो सारे इस्राएल में बचे रह गए हैं, उन पुरोहितों और लेवियों को, जो उनके साथ ऐसे नगरों में हैं, जिनमें चरागाह हैं यह संदेश भेजें, कि वे आकर हमसे मिलें.

3 Then let us bring back the ark of our God, for we did not inquire of Him in the days of Saul.”

3 तब हम अपने परमेश्वर के संदूक को यहां ले आएं, क्योंकि शाऊल के शासनकाल में हम परमेश्वर के संदूक से दूर रहे हैं.”

4 And because this proposal seemed right to all the people, the whole assembly agreed to it.

4 सारी सभा ऐसा करने के लिए राज़ी हो गई, क्योंकि यह बात सभी की नज़रों में सही थी.

5 So David assembled all Israel, from the River Shihor in Egypt to Lebo-hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.

5 इस प्रकार दावीद ने मिस्र देश की शीख़ोर नदी से लेकर लबो-हामाथ तक के सभी इस्राएलियों को इकट्ठा किया, कि परमेश्वर के संदूक को किरयथ-यआरीम से लाया जाए.

6 David and all Israel went up to Baalah of Judah (that is, Kiriath-jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the LORD, who is enthroned between the cherubim—the ark that is called by the Name.

6 सो दावीद और सारा इस्राएल परमेश्वर के संदूक को, जो याहवेह की प्रतिष्ठा है, जिस पर याहवेह करूबों से ऊपर आसीन हैं, यहूदिया प्रदेश के बालाह यानी किरयथ-यआरीम से लाने को गए.

7 So they carried the ark of God from the house of Abinadab on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding the cart.

7 अबीनादाब के घर से एक नई गाड़ी पर परमेश्वर का संदूक ले जाया गया. इस गाड़ी को चलानेवाले थे उज्जा और आहियो.

8 David and all the Israelites were celebrating before God with all their might, with songs and on harps and lyres, with tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.

8 दावीद और सारा इस्राएल तरह-तरह के बाजों और गीतों के सुरों पर परमेश्वर के सामने पूरे तन-मन से आनंदित हो रहे थे.

9 When they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark, because the oxen had stumbled.

9 जब वे कीदोन के खलिहान पर पहुंचे, बैल लड़खड़ा गए, और उज्जा ने संदूक को थामने के लिए हाथ बढ़ाया.

10 And the anger of the LORD burned against Uzzah, and He struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.

10 तब उज्जा पर याहवेह का क्रोध भड़क उठा. याहवेह ने उस पर वार किया, क्योंकि उसने संदूक की ओर अपना हाथ बढ़ाया था. परमेश्वर के सामने उसकी मृत्यु हो गई.

11 Then David became angry because the LORD had burst forth against Uzzah. So he named that place Perez-uzzah, as it is called to this day.

11 उज्जा पर याहवेह के इस क्रोध पर दावीद गुस्सा हो गए. वह स्थान आज तक पेरेज़-उज्जा कहा जाता है.

12 That day David feared God and asked, “How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?”

12 दावीद उस दिन परमेश्वर से बहुत ही डर गए. वह विचार कर रहे थे, “मैं परमेश्वर के संदूक को अपने इधर कैसे ला सकता हूं?”

13 So he did not move the ark with him to the City of David; instead, he took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

13 इसलिये दावीद संदूक को दावीद-नगर में नहीं ले गए, बल्कि वे संदूक को गाथ ओबेद-एदोम के घर पर ले गए.

14 Thus the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house for three months, and the LORD blessed his household and everything he owned.

14 तब परमेश्वर का संदूक ओबेद-एदोम के घर पर, उसके परिवार के साथ तीन महीने रहा. ओबोद-एदोम के परिवार और उसकी संपत्ति पर याहवेह की कृपादृष्टि बनी रही.
