2 Samuel 22

1 And David sang this song to the LORD on the day the LORD had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.

1 Este foi o cântico de louvor ao Senhor, entoado por Davi depois de ele haver livrado o seu povo das mãos de Saul e de outros inimigos:

2 He said: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.

2 “O Senhor é a minha rocha, a minha fortaleza e o meu salvador.

3 My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation. My stronghold, my refuge, and my Savior, You save me from violence.

3 Eu me esconderei em Deus, que é a minha rocha e o meu refúgio. Ele é meu escudo e minha poderosa salvação. Ele é a minha torre alta, meu refúgio e meu salvador, livrando-me dos homens violentos.

4 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.

4 Invoco o Senhor, que é digno de ser louvado; ele me livrará de todos os meus inimigos.

5 For the waves of death engulfed me; the torrents of chaos overwhelmed me.

5 As ondas da morte me cercaram; correntes de destruição me encobriram;

6 The cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me.

6 as cordas da sepultura me amarraram, e as ciladas da morte me envolveram.

7 In my distress I called upon the LORD; I cried out to my God. And from His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for help reached His ears.

7 Mas na minha angústia clamei ao Senhor, clamei a Deus. E do seu templo ele me ouviu. Meu clamor chegou aos seus ouvidos.

8 Then the earth shook and quaked; the foundations of the heavens trembled; they were shaken because He burned with anger.

8 Então a terra se abalou e tremeu, os fundamentos dos céus se abalaram, por causa da sua ira.

9 Smoke rose from His nostrils, and consuming fire came from His mouth; glowing coals blazed forth.

9 Das suas narinas saiu fumaça; fogo consumidor e brasas vivas saíram de sua boca.

10 He parted the heavens and came down with dark clouds beneath His feet.

10 Ele fez baixar os céus e veio à terra; caminhou sobre nuvens escuras.

11 He mounted a cherub and flew; He soared on the wings of the wind.

11 Ele cavalgou sobre um querubim; voou sobre as asas do vento.

12 He made darkness a canopy around Him, a gathering of water and thick clouds.

12 As trevas o cercaram, e eram densas as nuvens ao seu redor.

13 From the brightness of His presence coals of fire blazed forth.

13 Pelo resplendor da sua presença acenderam-se brasas de fogo.

14 The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.

14 O Senhor trovejou dos céus; e o Altíssimo elevou a sua voz.

15 He shot His arrows and scattered the foes; He hurled lightning and routed them.

15 Ele desferiu suas setas e dispersou os seus inimigos, e com o clarão dos relâmpagos ele os fez fugir.

16 The channels of the sea appeared, and the foundations of the world were exposed at the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.

16 Pelo sopro de suas narinas apareceu o fundo do mar, e os alicerces da terra ficaram descobertos.

17 He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.

17 Do alto ele estendeu a mão e me amparou; salvou-me de águas profundas.

18 He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from foes too mighty for me.

18 Livrou-me de inimigos poderosos, daqueles que me odiavam, e que eram muito mais fortes que eu.

19 They confronted me in my day of calamity, but the LORD was my support.

19 Eles caíram sobre mim no dia da minha calamidade, mas o Senhor foi o meu amparo.

20 He brought me out into the open; He rescued me because He delighted in me.

20 Ele me livrou do perigo, pois ele se agradou de mim.

21 The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness; He has repaid me according to the cleanness of my hands.

21 O Senhor me recompensou por causa da minha honestidade, de acordo com a pureza das minhas mãos.

22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD and have not wickedly departed from my God.

22 Guardei os caminhos do Senhor, e do meu Deus não me afastei.

23 For all His ordinances are before me; I have not disregarded His statutes.

23 Das suas leis eu tomei conhecimento, e a elas eu prestei obediência.

24 And I have been blameless before Him and kept myself from iniquity.

24 Fui inteiramente irrepreensível e guardei-me do pecado.

25 So the LORD has repaid me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His sight.

25 Por isso o Senhor me abençoou de acordo com a minha honestidade, de acordo com a pureza do meu coração.

26 To the faithful You show Yourself faithful, to the blameless You show Yourself blameless;

26 Ele é misericordioso com os misericordiosos; e íntegro com os íntegros.

27 to the pure You show Yourself pure, but to the crooked You show Yourself shrewd.

27 Revela a sua pureza aos que são puros; mas ao perverso o Senhor se revela astuto; e humilha os orgulhosos.

28 You save an afflicted people, but Your eyes are on the haughty to bring them down.

28 Salva e ampara os humildes sofredores, mas humilha os orgulhosos.

29 For You, O LORD, are my lamp; the LORD lights up my darkness.

29 O Senhor é a minha luz que acaba com a escuridão da minha vida.

30 For in You I can charge an army; with my God I can scale a wall.

30 Pelo seu poder vencerei exércitos; e com o meu Deus posso saltar muralhas.

31 As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.

31 O caminho de Deus é perfeito; a palavra do Senhor, verdadeira. Ele protege todos os que nele se refugiam.

32 For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?

32 Pois quem é Deus, senão o Senhor? E quem é rocha, senão o nosso Deus?

33 God is my strong fortress, and He makes my way clear.

33 Deus é minha fortaleza e minha força; ele me traz a salvo.

34 He makes my feet like those of a deer and stations me upon the heights.

34 Ele torna os meus pés como os pés das cabras dos montes, e firma os meus passos sobre as rochas.

35 He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

35 Ele me dá agilidade na guerra, de modo que os meus braços têm força para vergar um arco de bronze.

36 You have given me Your shield of salvation, and Your gentleness exalts me.

36 O Senhor me dá o escudo de sua salvação; e a sua bondade me engrandeceu.

37 You broaden the path beneath me so that my ankles do not give way.

37 Alonga os meus passos para que os meus pés não vacilem.

38 I pursued my enemies and destroyed them; I did not turn back until they were consumed.

38 Persegui os meus inimigos e os destruí, sem deixar um sequer.

39 I devoured and crushed them so they could not rise; they have fallen under my feet.

39 Debaixo dos meus pés, derrubei todos os meus inimigos; e não puderam levantar-se.

40 You have armed me with strength for battle; You have subdued my foes beneath me.

40 Pois o Senhor me deu força na batalha e poder para derrotar os que contra mim se levantaram.

41 You have made my enemies retreat before me; I destroyed those who hated me.

41 Pôs os meus inimigos a correr; e destruí todos os que me odiavam.

42 They looked, but there was no one to save them—to the LORD, but He did not answer.

42 Eles clamaram em vão por auxílio; clamaram ao Senhor, mas ele não atendeu.

43 I ground them as the dust of the earth; I crushed and trampled them like mud in the streets.

43 Então eu os esmaguei e os transformei em pó; espalhados eles foram, como o pó que se espalha pelas ruas.

44 You have delivered me from the strife of my people; You have preserved me as the head of nations; a people I had not known shall serve me.

44 O Senhor me tem preservado dos rebeldes do meu povo; e colocou-me como líder das nações! Até mesmo um povo que eu não conhecia me servirá.

45 Foreigners cower before me; when they hear me, they obey me.

45 Estrangeiros se submetem a mim ao ouvirem a minha voz e ouvirem falar do meu poder.

46 Foreigners lose heart and come trembling from their strongholds.

46 Eles perdem a coragem; os estrangeiros saem tremendo dos seus esconderijos.

47 The LORD lives, and blessed be my Rock! And may God, the Rock of my salvation, be exalted—

47 O Senhor vive! Abençoada seja a minha Rocha. Louvado seja Deus, a Rocha da minha salvação!

48 the God who avenges me and brings down nations beneath me,

48 Este é o Deus que se vinga contra os meus inimigos, que sujeita os povos debaixo do meu poder,

49 who frees me from my enemies. You exalt me above my foes; You rescue me from violent men.

49 e me livra dos meus inimigos; o Senhor me engrandeceu e me exaltou sobre os meus adversários; livrou-me de homens violentos.

50 Therefore I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to Your name.

50 Graças dou, ó Senhor! O seu nome será louvado entre as nações.

51 Great salvation He brings to His king. He shows loving devotion to His anointed, to David and his descendants forever.”

51 O Senhor deu vitórias maravilhosas ao seu rei; e cobriu de misericórdia o seu escolhido, com Davi e toda a sua casa para sempre”.
