John 17

1 When Jesus had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You.

1 इन बातों के प्रकट करने के बाद मसीह येशु ने स्वर्ग की ओर दृष्टि उठाकर प्रार्थना की. “पिता, वह समय आ गया है. अपने पुत्र को गौरवान्वित कीजिए कि पुत्र आपको गौरवान्वित करे.

2 For You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him.

2 क्योंकि आपने उसे सारी मानव जाति पर अधिकार दिया है कि वह उन सबको अनंत जीवन प्रदान करे जिन्हें आपने उसे सौंपा है.

3 Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

3 अनंत जीवन यह है कि वे आपको, जो एकमात्र सच्चे परमेश्वर हैं और मसीह येशु को, जिसे आपने भेजा है, जानें.

4 I have glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work You gave Me to do.

4 जो काम आपने मुझे सौंपा था, उसे पूरा कर मैंने पृथ्वी पर आपको गौरवान्वित किया है.

5 And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world existed.

5 इसलिये पिता, आप मुझे अपने साथ उसी महिमा से गौरवान्वित कीजिए, जो महिमा मेरी आपके साथ संसार की सृष्टि से पहले थी.

6 I have revealed Your name to those You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours; You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.

6 “मैंने आपको उन सब पर प्रगट किया, संसार में से जिनको चुनकर आपने मुझे सौंपा था. वे आपके थे किंतु आपने उन्हें मुझे सौंपा था और उन्होंने आपके वचन का पालन किया.

7 Now they know that everything You have given Me comes from You.

7 अब वे जान गए हैं कि जो कुछ आपने मुझे दिया है, वह सब आप ही की ओर से है

8 For I have given them the words You gave Me, and they have received them. They knew with certainty that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me.

8 क्योंकि आपसे प्राप्‍त आज्ञाएं मैंने उन्हें दे दी है. उन्होंने उनको ग्रहण किया और वास्तव में यह जान लिया है कि मैं आपसे आया हूं; उन्होंने विश्वास किया कि आप ही मेरे भेजनेवाले हैं.

9 I ask on their behalf. I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those You have given Me; for they are Yours.

9 आपसे मेरी विनती संसार के लिए नहीं किंतु उनके लिए है, जो आपके हैं और जिन्हें आपने मुझे सौंपा है.

10 All I have is Yours, and all You have is Mine; and in them I have been glorified.

10 वह सब, जो मेरा है, आपका है, जो आपका है, वह मेरा है और मैं उनमें गौरवान्वित हुआ हूं

11 I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name, the name You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one.

11 अब मैं संसार में नहीं रहूंगा; मैं आपके पास आ रहा हूं, किंतु वे सब संसार में हैं. पवित्र पिता! उन्हें अपने उस नाम में, जो आपने मुझे दिया है, सुरक्षित रखिए कि वे एक हों जैसे हम एक हैं.

12 While I was with them, I protected and preserved them by Your name, the name You gave Me. Not one of them has been lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.

12 जब मैं उनके साथ था, मैंने उन्हें आपके उस नाम में, जो आपने मुझे दिया था, सुरक्षित रखा. मैंने उनकी रक्षा की; उनमें से किसी का नाश नहीं हुआ, सिवाय विनाश के पुत्र के; वह भी इसलिये कि पवित्र शास्त्र का वचन पूरा हो.

13 But now I am coming to You; and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled within them.

13 “अब मैं आपके पास आ रहा हूं. ये सब मैं संसार में रहते हुए ही कह रहा हूं कि वे मेरे आनंद से परिपूर्ण हो जाएं.

14 I have given them Your word and the world has hated them. For they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

14 मैंने उनको आपका वचन दिया है. संसार ने उनसे घृणा की है क्योंकि वे संसार के नहीं हैं, जिस प्रकार मैं भी संसार का नहीं हूं.

15 I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.

15 मैं आपसे यह विनती नहीं करता कि आप उन्हें संसार में से उठा लें परंतु यह कि आप उन्हें उस दुष्ट से बचाए रखें.

16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

16 वे संसार के नहीं हैं, जिस प्रकार मैं भी संसार का नहीं हूं.

17 Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.

17 उन्हें सच्चाई में अपने लिए अलग कीजिए—आपका वचन सत्य है.

18 As You sent Me into the world, I have also sent them into the world.

18 जैसे आपने मुझे संसार में भेजा था, मैंने भी उन्हें संसार में भेजा.

19 For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.

19 उनके लिए मैं स्वयं को समर्पित करता हूं कि वे भी सच्चाई में समर्पित हो जाएं.

20 I am not asking on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me through their message,

20 “मैं मात्र इनके लिए ही नहीं परंतु उन सबके लिए भी विनती करता हूं, जो इनके संदेश के द्वारा मुझमें विश्वास करेंगे.

21 that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

21 पिता! वे सब एक हों; जैसे आप मुझमें और मैं आप में, वैसे ही वे हममें एक हों जिससे संसार विश्वास करे कि आप ही मेरे भेजनेवाले हैं.

22 I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one—

22 वह महिमा, जो आपने मुझे प्रदान की है, मैंने उन्हें दे दी है कि वे भी एक हों, जिस प्रकार हम एक हैं,

23 I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.

23 आप मुझमें और मैं उनमें कि वे पूरी तरह से एक हो जाएं जिससे संसार पर यह साफ़ हो जाए कि आपने ही मुझे भेजा और आपने उनसे वैसा ही प्रेम किया है जैसा मुझसे.

24 Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

24 “पिता, मेरी इच्छा यह है कि वे भी, जिन्हें आपने मुझे सौंपा है, मेरे साथ वहीं रहें, जहां मैं हूं कि वे मेरी उस महिमा को देख सकें, जो आपने मुझे दी है क्योंकि संसार की सृष्टि के पहले से ही आपने मुझसे प्रेम किया है.

25 Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me.

25 “हे नीतिमान पिता, संसार ने तो आपको नहीं जाना किंतु मैं आपको जानता हूं, और उनको यह मालूम हो गया है कि आपने ही मुझे भेजा है.

26 And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.”

26 मैंने आपको उन पर प्रकट किया है, और प्रकट करता रहूंगा कि जिस प्रेम से आपने मुझसे प्रेम किया है, वही प्रेम उनमें बस जाए और मैं उनमें.”
