Psalms 130

1 A song of ascents. Out of the depths I cry to You, O LORD!

1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Aus der Tiefe rufe ich, HERR, zu dir:

2 O Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my plea for mercy.

2 Herr, höre meine Stimme! Möchten deine Ohren aufmerksam sein auf die Stimme meines Flehens!

3 If You, O LORD, kept track of iniquities, then who, O Lord, could stand?

3 Wenn du Sünden behältst, HERR, wer kann bestehen?

4 But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be feared.

4 Aber bei dir ist die Vergebung, auf daß man dich fürchte.

5 I wait for the LORD; my soul does wait, and in His word I put my hope.

5 Ich harre des HERRN, meine Seele harrt, und ich hoffe auf sein Wort.

6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning—more than watchmen wait for the morning.

6 Meine Seele harrt des Herrn, mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen, als die Wächter auf den Morgen.

7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance.

7 Israel, hoffe auf den HERRN! Denn bei dem HERRN ist die Gnade, und viel Erlösung ist bei ihm.

8 And He will redeem Israel from all iniquity.

8 Und er wird Israel erlösen von allen seinen Sünden.
