Psalms 130

1 A song of ascents. Out of the depths I cry to You, O LORD!

1 Do fundo da minha tristeza eu clamo ao Senhor.

2 O Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my plea for mercy.

2 Por favor, Senhor, atenda à minha oração! Preste atenção nos meus insistentes pedidos de misericórdia!

3 If You, O LORD, kept track of iniquities, then who, O Lord, could stand?

3 Quem seria capaz de escapar da sua ira, se o Soberano Senhor guardasse contra nós cada um dos nossos pecados?

4 But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be feared.

4 Mas o Senhor nos oferece o perdão, para o amarmos e lhe obedecermos sinceramente.

5 I wait for the LORD; my soul does wait, and in His word I put my hope.

5 É por isso que espero o Senhor agir; na sua palavra coloco as minhas esperanças.

6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning—more than watchmen wait for the morning.

6 Eu espero pelo Senhor, mais do que as sentinelas pela chegada da manhã; sim, mais do que as sentinelas pela chegada da manhã.

7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance.

7 Povo de Israel, faça do Senhor a sua esperança, pois ele é rico em amor fiel! A sua salvação jamais terá fim!

8 And He will redeem Israel from all iniquity.

8 Ele mesmo há de livrar o povo de Israel de todas as suas culpas.
