Psalms 131

1 A song of ascents. Of David. My heart is not proud, O LORD, my eyes are not haughty. I do not aspire to great things or matters too lofty for me.

1 याहवेह, मेरा हृदय न तो अहंकार से फूल रहा है, और न मेरी आंखें घमंड में चढ़ी हुई हैं; मेरी रुचि न तो असाधारण उपलब्धियों में है, न चमत्कारों में.

2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

2 मैंने अपने प्राणों को शांत और चुप कर लिया है, जैसे माता की गोद में तृप्‍त शिशु; मेरा प्राण अब ऐसे ही शिशु-समान शांत है.

3 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, both now and forevermore.

3 इस्राएल, याहवेह पर भरोसा रखो इस समय और सदा-सर्वदा.
