Psalms 131

1 A song of ascents. Of David. My heart is not proud, O LORD, my eyes are not haughty. I do not aspire to great things or matters too lofty for me.

1 Moyo wangu hauna kiburi, Ee Bwana, macho yangu hayajivuni; sijishughulishi na mambo makuu kunizidi wala mambo ya ajabu mno kwangu.

2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

2 Lakini nimetuliza na kunyamazisha nafsi yangu; kama mtoto aliyeachishwa kunyonya na mama yake, kama mtoto aliyeachishwa kunyonya ndivyo ilivyo nafsi iliyoko ndani yangu.

3 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, both now and forevermore.
