| BSB 1 A Miktam of David. Preserve me, O God, for in You I take refuge. | NAV 1 احْفَظْنِي يَا اللهُ، فَإِنِّي مُتَوَكِّلٌ عَلَيْكَ. |
| BSB 2 I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.” | NAV 2 قُلْتُ لِلرَّبِّ: أَنْتَ سَيِّدِي، وَلَا خَيْرَ لِي بِمَعْزِلٍ عَنْكَ. |
| BSB 3 As for the saints in the land, they are the excellence in whom all my delight resides. | NAV 3 كُلُّ بَهْجَتِي فِي قِدِّيسِي الأَرْضِ وَأَفَاضِلِهَا. |

I will not pour out their libations of blood, or speak their names with my lips. | NAV 4 تَتَكَاثَرُ أَوْجَاعُ الْمُتَهَافِتِينَ وَرَاءَ غَيْرِكَ. أَمَّا أَنَا فَتَقْدِمَاتُ سَكَائِبِهِمِ الدَّمَوِيَّةِ لَا أُقَدِّمُ، وَلَا أَذْكُرُ أَسْمَاءَ أَوْثَانِهِمْ بِشَفَتَيَّ. |
