Psalms 24

1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof, the world and all who dwell therein.

1 A terra pertence ao Senhor! O mundo e tudo o que nele vive pertencem a ele.

2 For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.

2 Foi ele quem colocou a terra firme no meio dos oceanos e sobre as águas.

3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place?

3 Quem será capaz de subir o monte do Senhor? Quem será capaz de entrar no seu santo lugar?

4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear deceitfully.

4 Somente quem tem as mãos e o coração puro, quem não se volta para a mentira nem jura falsamente.

5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from the God of his salvation.

5 Ele receberá a bênção do Senhor, e Deus, o seu Salvador, lhe fará justiça.

6 Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O God of Jacob. Selah

6 Assim vivem as pessoas que procuram agradar o Senhor e viver na presença do Deus de Jacó.

7 Lift up your heads, O gates! Be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of Glory may enter!

7 Abram-se, ó portas eternas! Abram-se para que entre o Rei da glória!

8 Who is this King of Glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

8 Quem é o Rei da glória? O Senhor, forte e poderoso, invencível nas batalhas.

9 Lift up your heads, O gates! Be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of Glory may enter!

9 Sim, abram bem os portões, abram as portas antigas e deixem entrar o Rei da glória.

10 Who is He, this King of Glory? The LORD of Hosts—He is the King of Glory. Selah

10 Quem é esse Rei da glória? O Rei da glória é o Senhor dos Exércitos; ele é o Rei da glória!
