| BSB 1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. | KJV 1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. |
| BSB 2 Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. | KJV 2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. |
| BSB 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. | KJV 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. |
| BSB 4 Each one should test his own work. Then he will have reason to boast in himself alone, and not in someone else. | KJV 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. |
| BSB 5 For each one should carry his own load. | KJV 5 For every man shall bear his own burden. |
| BSB 6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word must share in all good things with his instructor. | KJV 6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. |
| BSB 7 Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. | KJV 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. |
| BSB 8 The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. | KJV 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. |
| BSB 9 Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. | KJV 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
| BSB 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith. | KJV 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. |
| BSB 11 See what large letters I am using to write to you with my own hand! | KJV 11 Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. |
| BSB 12 Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. They only do this to avoid persecution for the cross of Christ. | KJV 12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. |
| BSB 13 For the circumcised do not even keep the law themselves, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. | KJV 13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. |
| BSB 14 But as for me, may I never boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. | KJV 14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. |
| BSB 15 For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. What counts is a new creation. | KJV 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. |
| BSB 16 Peace and mercy to all who walk by this rule, even to the Israel of God. | KJV 16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. |
| BSB 17 From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. | KJV 17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. |
| BSB 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen. | KJV 18 Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. |
