Psalms 120

1 A song of ascents. In my distress I cried to the LORD, and He answered me.

1 मैंने अपनी पीड़ा में याहवेह को पुकारा, और उन्होंने मेरी सुन ली.

2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips and a deceitful tongue.

2 याहवेह, मेरी रक्षा कीजिए, झूठ बोलनेवाले होंठों से, और छली जीभ से!

3 What will He do to you, and what will be added to you, O deceitful tongue?

3 तुम्हारे साथ परमेश्वर क्या करेंगे, और उसके भी अतिरिक्त और क्या करेंगे, ओ छली जीभ?

4 Sharp arrows will come from the warrior, with burning coals of the broom tree!

4 वह तुझे योद्धा के तीक्ष्ण बाणों से दंड देंगे, वह तुझे वृक्ष की लकड़ी के प्रज्वलित कोयलों से दंड देंगे.

5 Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar!

5 धिक्कार है मुझ पर, जो मैं मेशेख देश में जा निवास करूं, जो मैं केदार देश के मण्डपों में जा रहूं!

6 Too long have I dwelt among those who hate peace.

6 बहुत समय मैंने उनके साथ व्यतीत की है, जिन्हें शांति से घृणा हैं.

7 I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they want war.

7 मैं खड़ा शांति प्रिय पुरुष; किंतु जब मैं कुछ कहता हूं, वे युद्ध पर उतारू हो जाते हैं.
