Psalms 147

1 Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and lovely to praise Him!

1 ¡Aleluya! ¡Alabado sea el Señor! ¡Qué bueno es cantar sus alabanzas! ¡Qué agradable y justo es alabarle!

2 The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the exiles of Israel.

2 El Señor está reconstruyendo Jerusalén y regresando a sus exiliados.

3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

3 Él sana a los quebrantados de corazón y les venda las heridas.

4 He determines the number of the stars; He calls them each by name.

4 Él cuenta las estrellas y las llama por su nombre.

5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit.

5 ¡Cuán grande es él! ¡Su poder es absoluto! Su entendimiento no tiene fronteras.

6 The LORD sustains the humble, but casts the wicked to the ground.

6 El Señor sostiene al humilde, pero derriba hasta el polvo al malvado.

7 Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music on the harp to our God,

7 Canten al Señor con gratitud; canten alabanzas a nuestro Dios, con acompañamiento de arpa.

8 who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the hills.

8 Él cubre los cielos de nubes, envía la lluvia sobre la tierra y hace que la hierba verde crezca en los pastizales del monte.

9 He provides food for the animals, and for the young ravens when they call.

9 Él alimenta a las bestias salvajes y los polluelos del cuervo lo llaman a él pidiéndole comida.

10 He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.

10 A él la fuerza del caballo no le causa admiración.

11 The LORD is pleased with those who fear Him, who hope in His loving devotion.

11 Pero su gozo está en quienes lo honran; en aquellos que confían en su gran amor.

12 Exalt the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion!

12 ¡Alaba al Señor, Jerusalén! ¡Alaba a tu Dios, Sion!

13 For He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses the children within you.

13 Porque él ha reforzado los cerrojos de tus puertas, y ha bendecido a tus hijos que en ti habitan.

14 He makes peace at your borders; He fills you with the finest wheat.

14 Él envía paz por toda tu nación, y te sacia con el mejor trigo.

15 He sends forth His command to the earth; His word runs swiftly.

15 Él da sus órdenes al mundo; su palabra corre a toda prisa.

16 He spreads the snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes;

16 Él envía la nieve como lana, y esparce la escarcha en la tierra como ceniza.

17 He casts forth His hail like pebbles. Who can withstand His icy blast?

17 Deja caer el granizo como piedras: ¿quién podrá resistir su frío que congela?

18 He sends forth His word and melts them; He unleashes His winds, and the waters flow.

18 Entonces, envía su palabra y todo se derrite; envía sus vientos y el hielo se funde.

19 He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and judgments to Israel.

19 A Jacob le ha revelado sus palabras; sus leyes y decretos a Israel.

20 He has done this for no other nation; they do not know His judgments. Hallelujah!

20 Esto no lo ha hecho con ninguna otra nación; estas no han conocido sus leyes. ¡Alabado sea el Señor!
